What have you done to your P5 today?

good job Matt V... i removed my lights, baked them... openend them... and adjusted my projecters to shoot lower... lol hopefully not to low this time...

as for Matt's retrofit service... it's definitely worth it... my first time retrofitting and i don't think i want to do it again... although opening up the lights the second time and aiming seems a little easier now... you learn as you go... and i figure the more you do you can only get better.... now i'm just waiting for the silicon to cure a little longer so i can bolt them back up and install it back onto my car... still a few more hours before it gets dark... then off to attempt to aim again... hopefully its still not to high

thanks Matt for making your retrofit service a part of the Mazdas247 community... and for your help in helping me figure out how to use the aiming bolts

Also I bought new headlights

I feel like the sedan headlights would look good on a red p5 plus they were half the price of p5 lights :D

P5 lights throw the light further and are better. Just swap the lenses so you still get P5 lights with brand new lenses!

naw trust me you don't want my p5's the plastics all effed up from the oven x) baking headlights for a first time really sucked, my dads face was priceless though.

I'm not gonna get my fenders rolled right away, but if it rubs too much I will. Also CTt3p5 I like the new hood, I haven't seen your car in a couple months

Ahh the whole two tone look kills it for me I have an evo carbon hood that I just can't wait to get it painted to match my P5.As long as you love it (2thumbs)

Agreed... I've got a red P5 too but I don't think I could put carbon fibre on the exterior.

I don't think I would mind a colour like gray, white, or black with carbon fibre... just goes better IMO.

just got through reassembling my retrofit... i'm very very satisfied now with where the lights are shooting... lol atleast it's not shooting the sky like it was last night... gonna go aim them in about an hour... just waiting for the stores to close at my work place so i can utilize their parking structure... wish me luck on getting them aimed properly... cuz there is no way i'm gonna spend another 6-8hrs removing, disassembling, tweaking, and then reinstalling them again... it sucks...

You could've just went through me and avoided all this hassle. ;)

:)

seriously... for the price your doing it for... its beyond being a good deal... though it was a very good experience for me... i'm sure if i had to do it again it would be a lot easier... you're right... the initial aiming is the hardest part... but once you do it once you get the general direction you want to align the projectors at when mounting them in the bowl... there's another trick i found also with mounting the projectors to get them sorta even also...

seriously peeps... retrofitting projectors is not for the faint of heart and takes some skills to do... i thought it was going to be easy... but not when you've never done it before...

Haha it's cool, it's definitely an experience. Good to learn the skill, but bad in the sense you wanna kill someone haha.

Thanks, as for pics I've been in winter mode and other than the hood and JDM tails, haven't done much as mods are concerned.

To have a good note on a NA protege, you GOTTA have a cat, catless has always sounded like s*** to me no matter the setup imo.

Sounds great bro

Exactly. lol.

I'm catless and its mild with the turbo but I still wasn't happy, thats why I got a cat welded into the corksport. lol.
