yea im def moving from this apartment complex as soon as possible!

and i wish they had a specific department dedicated to s*** like this, to many people get away with messin with other peoples cars

broken window and ipod stolen takes me back. my civics window was smashed and ipod ripped from the car, literally. part of the wire was missing, still attached to the ipod. then my car was broken into again a few months later and my other ipod was stolen, no signs of forced entry but the car was locked so i dunno.

plus in august my apt was broken into with no signs of forced entry, again. all windows and doors locked but they still got through 2 deadbolts.... convinced it was landlords but cant prove that

yeah and no way police would waste time trying to find an ipod thief or deal with what happened in my apartment. they dont have the resources to do it. I LOVE NOT LIVING IN NEW BRITAIN, CT ANYMORE!

That really sucks man. Did you call your insurance company? Perhaps they will cut you a check and you could get a CF hood? Gotta look on the bright side, right?

My P5 got broken into about 2 years ago while my band was on tour in Brooklyn NY. I had an Alpine head unit, but I took the face plate with me. They broke the drivers side window and stole the headunit, without the faceplate. I forgot to lock the glovebox so they went through there. But here's the kicker, I forgot my iPod in there and $680 in CASH of the bands money. I keep the owners manual, documentation for my cars service and napkins for spills in there and they overlooked the iPod and envelope of cash. I learned my lesson though. Never leave anything in your car. But I still remember how horrified I was when I saw my car was broken into. Like my girlfriend was just molested.

Just remember that ultimately that guy is a piece of trash. Always will be trash, his life will never amount to s***. You can move on to better things and hopefully use the insurance money for something positive and better your ride...

yea im tryin to stay positive about this whole thing, but its kinda tough not to be pissed off still

insurance already covered the 3 hour tow from charlotte to fayetteville so i doubt they will cover any of the damage to the roof, prob just the window and then i can put that in myself
i have to open the door panel anyways to get all the shards of glass out of there
but the crazy thing is, my ipod was in my glovebox, they had no way of seeing it in there
so i guess they just broke in for the hell of it and then found an ipod and took it

But I think this is the best my car has ever looked. The Eagle One Nanowax really did a good job of covering up some of my swirls, and made my dull looking roof shiny (damn fading Mazda yellow).

No, what your insurance already did, has nothing to do with what else they will do. The damage is covered or it isn't. Call them back, tell them about the additional damage, make them fix it, and do NOT pay more than one deductible. This is what you've given the insurance company hundreds (or thousands) of dollars for over the years you've been driving, now make them pay up!

They'll probably jack your rates up over this regardless, might as well get the car all the way fixed!

Spent a couple of hours futzing with the P5 trying to get rid of a mystery bang/clunk in the rear suspension. Found that a nut was missing from the rear swaybar bracket, went out and got new ones, replaced the missing nut and the one from the other side, and still have the noise. Soooooooo... I don't know what's making the noise! Grrrrrr....

Well went to the junkyard today and picked up 3 guage cluster trim piece's not bad for $15 bucks.Also saw something that I really don't see everyday in the yard.
