i went an got the oil changed. i could have done it myself but ive been busy. now i think the ppl put 5w30 in... should i panic? idk. why does it even use 10w30 ? its just a lil 4cyl.

5w30 has pretty much become the standard for engines these days. It actually leaves less strain on the engine because when heated its thinner. It also will produce marginally better gas mileage.

As far as everyone talking about 10w30 and 5w30 having difference due to climate it doesn't matter. Both oils have a cold viscosity of 30

I think you got it backwards....

The 30 is the viscosity at operating temperature. The 5w/10w is the cold viscosity (I was told once that w stands for winter). But ya you are right, for the most part climate doesn't affect it much. Although in extreme cold, 5w30 is often recomended because it is thinner at cold temeratures. Our engines are made very effciently now a days tho and the need to use thicker oil is basically completely unnecesary.

Edit* Damn you stealth, beat me to it. :D

Wow. I did you have an upgraded rear sway bar?

yes i have the progress rear sway bar... that thing is beast and the included mounting brackets that come with the progress rear sway bar are crap (broke 4 times)... so i had a shop custom make me some thicker steel brackets to keep that sucker from ripping off...

as for the coilovers... don't get it wrong they are animal... its the damn tab broke on me :(
i'm still waiting on a reply from BC-Racing on how to get a replacement

Got the powdercoated VC's and Calipers today...I shall have one spare P5 one that I got done Gloss black...it shall be FS soon...calipers are pretty close to the stock yellow...hopefully they will look good under some high gloss black Speed3 rims...I think so...

Pulled the grill and the stock horn, replacing it with a Fiamm Low-Tone Freeway Blaster. It's nice to have a manly horn.

On a related note, I also want to pop the upper grill trim off and paint it the body color, but I have broken the one tab I tried to disengage, and was wondering if anyone here has removed that piece and can give me some pointers...I read the how-to, but without the pics I am having trouble visualizing what I am supposed to do.
