What have you done to your P5 today?

My struts ship today

My springs showed today

My lights should ship tomorrow

Any recomendations...I think I am finally going to try and drop the car...

I came to the realization that I can let my dad drive my car while I use his for delivering pizza...

I have had my car dropped for two years now and all I did was the springs I havent had any strut problems as of yet .

Tokico HP's

That's all ive been told to get

^ What he said. I'm going Illuminas, but yeah...

+1 to tokicos
and i went with HP's.....its ok tho no regrets, i just want newer springs. possibly the Tanabe DF210s or S-Techs not sure yet but im leaning towards Tanabe

Yes my friend has done that with his car for over 3 years now and its still fine. about to hit 70K

drop your car and roll on tokico blues and see how it compares to his car dropped on stock struts

I went with used Progress springs and stock struts, no problems so far, but I recommend doing both at least for the ease of installation... I did mine by myself and it was a pain, but if you have help, more power to ya bro.

or drop your wifes P5 on the stock struts and yours on the HP's, give us a good review.

Thanks for the help guys...and as for installing...I just get one of my wrestlers I coach that is in the auto class in school to help me with everything...I get to use the lifts and all at the school...works out good...

From my experience, the HPs add a lot of firmness to the ride, compared to stock struts. Like... it's not even funny.

teaser pic of black mirrors and other stuff..need to take better pictures

So i need new brake pads.

Im thinking Hawk Plus pads.

any thoughts or recommendations? Dont want EBC because i dont want to deal with squeaking. Dont really feel like paying 90 at the dealership for stock pads either.

I believe just OEM pads.

another reason i dont want EBC is because i just dont want to spend 100$ on brake pads. I want to stop putting money in this car lol

haha, i wana go full ebc set up i heard they are good.
right now im running the posi quiet ceramics and they are great so far...only one problem.
they are smaller than oem pads, so they are only rubbing in the middle. i have about half inch the inside of rotor and outside of rotor that the pad is not touching......kinda dissapointed.

Hawk HP+ are a terrible street pad. They dust like crazy, they aren't good cold (takes a while for them to get some heat and bite) and they chew up rotors.

The EBC is also a great street pad. Though my favorite combination I had on the car were a set of Axxis Deluxes up front / PosiQuiet's rear. The Deluxes were a decent pad, didn't make any noise and didn't dust much. I've got Axxis Ultimates on the miata, and if you want a more aggressive pad go with that. Excellent bite, great feedback, but they dust a bit more than the Deluxes. You can get them from Pro-Parts-USA (aka TriPoint Motorsports).

thanks you guys, ill def check out those axxis deluxes.

and tripoint is just north of me, so i wont be waiting 10 years for shipping lol
