I was around the corner from her work. I am here now(at her work). Now, for a stupid question, how do I pull the code? I gotta go to an autozone or something?

Tylor

Well, i hope she'll get to autozone to pull the code. It's about 4 miles away

Tylor

If you are still their why dont you take it to the zone for her.(dark)

Her is my car. It's my car that's screwing up. I meant I would take her(my car) to autozone.

Either way, i checked it and I'm getting a misfire in cylinder 4.

3 went out lasttime. So, i called the mechanic and he told me to pull the wires and see if they're ok. If it looks ok, bring it to him tomorrow.

Now my noobness to imports comes into play. Does the spark plug wire just pull off?

Yah they just pull off the plugs and coil packs. I am guessing it is not the wires though but one of the two coilpacks are bad. Last time I had misfiring it was because of a coilpack. Good luck

We'll see. I'll go pull the wires now. As stated already, cylinder number 3 was causing the misfire when I had the fiasco with my purge solinoid. Now it's number 4. I'm hoping it'll be warranty. Cause maybe I'll get the mechanic to quote OEM replacments and i pay the diff. for some upgraded.

If it is the coilpacks, what do ya'll recomend?

rockauto.com has them for about 40 shipped.

pull the wires and coil packs and smell the boots. if they have a strong burnt oder, chances are they have burnt out.

this is my C3 wire. this was the wire that was causing my misfire issue.

i dropped it off at the mechanic. Having him check the misfire out, as well as the motor mounts and a creeking and popping noise that has developped since my motor is bouncing around due to the misfire. Now I'm just waiting for the phone call back. I am hoping it's all covered under the service contract!!! $100 deductable as opposed to paying it all myself

Ummm...the answer to that is, I just bought the car 3 months ago or so

Tylor

lol these are things you usually do right after buying a used car :p

speaking of that....I need to do that when i change the oil in the P5 next time...

Today, assuming I feel better later on, I'll probably give the P5 some much deserved TLC. Oil change (mmm, castrol syntec is yummy), replace my fog lights (one's burnt out) so my car will no longer be a triclops, and probably clean the K&N filter and install the Injen CAI I've had sitting around.
