What have you done to your P5 today?

damn, this is some fast paced discussion... i hadda think back to wut page i had posted on to see where everyone responded... and to those of u who r just realizing i use like a million "z"s for pluralz... i haven't even thought twice about that in yearz though... itz just something a lotta azn catz i know used ta do and it just kinda stuck

newayz... i know the torque on the p5 kickz arse on the civic i had, but i do kinda like being able to take it right up to redline and still get screaming power outta the engine... i still haven't figured out where the best spot to shift at iz, but itz definately not at the rev limiter, i know that one for sure... as fun as the mazda iz to drive i still feel like my si wuz more predictable in turnz, but that may very well have been because of how well i knew my car... second thing i'm gonna do after my parentz sign the car over to me iz to get rid of those frickin wheelz and tirez... i can't hold traction worth a darn on anything but bone dry roadz

thnx to everyone for the tipz and wut not... i'm gonna try ta keep up with the conversation as best as possible, but there r so many people making postz

we did my header yesterday and i put mine on pretty tight

i am hoping that i can get the funky marks off my header, we degreased it so idk why it's still gettin spots, its not finger prints though, so maybe its what is supposed to happen?

degreaser + headers = spots from burning off degreaser

unless u really whipe everything down perfectly after u degrease it ur gonna get funky lookin oil marks from burning off degreaser

Maybe I should be using a different weight oil.. I'm running 10w30 right now, but according to the claims from Redline, at cold temps it flows better than a conventional oil 5w30.. hmm

Chris, just curious, why are you running 10w30?

Dude you just have to post those picks to make me say....you suck, lol. I love that car man. How does it ride on the Teins? I heard they ride real low....is that true?

what do your cars idle at? i just installed my header and at idle it shakes and i think its about to shut off...like the egr problem. its about 450 rpms so i was j/c. it's weird. i'll give it a lil longer since we reset the ecu.

check your owners manual

Because it's marginally less fluid when extremely cold than a 5w30, and with less of the additives that allow an oil to be fluid at extremely cold temperatures? It's one of the two oil weights recommended in our owners manuals.

Against my better instincts, I decided to order a replacement for the PIAA sport mesh my wife curbed this past Dec. Turns out they've been discontinued (notcool). Ugh - I've contacted PIAA corporate directly for any leads. This marks the second time that my striving for uniqueness with wheels has bitten me in the ass.
Erm ... lame to quote myself, but I have a correction. PIAA has not discontinued the Sportmesh. PIAA corporate is allowing me to replace my curbed rim directly through them AT COST (!). All I can say is that I have never had such a personal response and show of effort from a corporation of this size. I'm stoked - hopefully bringing curb-feelers back will be like bringing sexy back ...

lol!
