A day without driving the P5 is hardly a day at all...

I've been driving it everyday for weeks now (avg 25 mpg)...it was time to get back in the Yatta...it's all good (first)

happy with the results.. Now I need to put a second 12V outlet for my little boys TV..

Definitely a nice enclosure. As small as the enclosure on my infinity basslink is it still obstructs the use of the hatch. If I ever do an enclosure like that for a sub in my P5 I think I'll mold it to the plastic side panel of the hatch and do it on the left side so that I still have access to the jack.

Let's see. Today I redid a little bit of wiring under my hood. I rewired my Alpine head unit's power wire (was using 16 gauge) with some 10 gauge and routed the power wire for that and for my basslink into the underhood fusebox where their inline fuses are crammed. I tapped them into power just after the 100A fuse just inside the fuse box. I'm happy with the results so far, less wires going up and attaching to the battery.

I'm in the process of doing the K&N filter recharge on my Injen filter and then I'm going to take all the various intake parts I have (I have an eBay CAI and an eBay SRI and quite a few extra couplers and stuff) to set it up as an SRI but without the metal pipe coming off the throttle body hitting the brake booster thing.

while I have the intake out I'll do the egr removal/cleaning process for the third time since I found the gasket and will be putting that back in.

got the stereo installed last night and took today to wash and wax for a car meet tomorrow in Mass. and I took pics from todays fun, but I finally got pics of my new CAI and Racing Beat exhaust :)

I don't have anywhere to get redline here, I'm thinkin abt going royal purple (O'Reiley's carries it here). Any1 hear anything bad abt the RP MTX fluid?

From what I've seen most people are split on either Royal Purple or Redline. They both have great reviews from everyone. If you would rather go with Redline you can order it online. Mine was here at my door by the second day so shipping was really fast.

I put the gasket on the EGR valve and sanded the flaking paint off my CAI and put that back on with the freshly cleaned injen filter.

And now suddenly my battery light is on when I drive the car. I drove for about 15 minutes and everything seemed normal (including voltage). If my alternator died would it have been obvious?

you should try to see if it is charging, the volts will read normal if it just happened, especially having put in a new battery. I don't know if you have a place near you that offers to check your system(or actually if you have a voltmeter to test it)

I bought a 12 volt plug and installed it above the hatch light and used the power from the light. So its always hot.

Thanks for the tip. I was looking at installing one in the back of the console, I will keep looking at this...
