installed my hood props and custom sub box today with my dad's help :) i am SO happy to have my hatch back. and yes, i know - tpiwwp; they shall be forthcoming, just have to download then upload them.

btw, anyone interested in a ported sub box for a 10" JL W1V2 sub? obviously, i no longer need mine :)

what hood prop kit did you get? I wanna get some hood props, but don't have the $100ish to spend on them right now...

well the exhaust now rubs the cut out and i think it is taking some of the paint off from the part you cant see. idk. guess it's the lesser of two evils? maybe i should put some padding like insulation so it doesnt damage the bumper? i dunno

got them from blustreak (CKL Motorsports).

as promised, pic of the hood props (yes, i know the engine bay is filthy; no, it won't be cleaned any time soon - too busy packing). install was a snap, and the hood opens and closes beautifully :)

also, a pic of my new sub box :D many, MANY thanks go out to mryellermp5 (allen). (first) the box fits great, the sub sounds great, and best of all i now have my hatch back (the original ported box the sub came in was bungee-corded to the back of the rear seats, lol).

Tightened up the clamp on my oil return line because it was leaking - again! Removed Perrin MBC because I found it to cause extra boost to be built even in its full "open" setting. Hopefully this will cure my 9 psi spikes.

Started pulling the turbo, I had to drain the coolant so I can remove the hose and take the assembly out. I found my problem though. Wastegates probably work better if the actuator arm is actually hooked to something, right? The snap ring must have came loose and the arm wiggled off.

looks great andrea. the sub box is a big improvement over your last one. did you go with the banana plugs?

i need to get the prop kit one day, looks great.

did you atleast give your car a washing, i've never seen your car as dirty as it was the other day.

next time i see you, i'll have to show you my autox pics from this weekend. a professional photographer was selling 8X11 pics. had some nice tripod action going on.

nice box... (sub box, not the other one... )

I saw this a while back, but I never got the answers I needed to see if I could do this..

Is that a 10" sub?
any idea what kind of volume you have in that enclosure?
If you don't mind, what did it run you $$?

Took mine to Mid-Ohio to watch DaveB run his at a track event. It was rather odd seeing a little Sunlight Silver P5 running with a bunch of Porsches...
