Care to elaborate on these brake issues? are they fixed now?

Inner pad shaved to bare metal, outer pad looking almost new. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong yet, but I'm going to work with the caliper to make sure the piston isn't frozen. I'm really not in the mood to rebulid it, so I'm hoping I don't have to get into much with it. I've got it torn apart right now and I sprayed a healthy dose of PB Blaster on the piston. We'll see in the morning. I have to find a parts store near me that has the rear rotors in stock tho...

probably around a couple hours of actual work, the rest of it was a lot of waiting. And those tires are not stock Dunlops, They are performance Nexen's

oh nice... i didn't know that u could get better rubber for the stock wheels... Nexen's, how much are those?

Factory says 130, but who cares what the car makes to the crank? The car won't go anywhere w/ just the crank. Knowing what it makes to the ground is a much more useful number.

And wutz isn't a word :p

We'll get it fixed today. This car is pretty easy to work on.

i only read this if you are talkoing about the back break they twis instead of pull/push

I don't what I'm gonna do today...I have a lot of free time and it's REALLY sunny outside.

Maybe I'll paint my calipers? thinking about painting them red with some sort of brush on paint...easier that way :p

or maybe I'll install the msp pedals I have sitting around...

msp pedals ftw!

5.5mm drill bit for the accelerator pedal, 7mm socket for the nut on the back side

and have fun with the clutch/brake pedals :P

yea its definetly worth it along with tweeters, i have to really tune everything though, im not used to having so much high range. (its actually a little too much for me, and i have to turn the gain down on my subs, its WAY too loud lol)

thanks! I'm about to try the clutch and brake pedals first. if I can get them on then I'll borrow my friends drill to install the accelerator. Wish me luck!

Did you get that nut off the last strut yet?

ok got the clutch and brake pedals on...mostly lol

they're about 3/4ths the way on...they're definitely not going anywhere and sit even. I used the metal hook of a bungee cord to help get the darned rubber grommet over the metal. worked well enough for me I guess. my fingers hurt.

yeah my fingers hurt for a while after getting those on. I had those two on for a couple months before I did the accelerator, and it was a quick job.

wait, that drill bit size I posted is wrong.. that's the allen wrench size you'll need for the bolt that goes through the pedal. I don't recall what the drill bit size was right now >_<

2.5mm?? that's crazy small. I know I had to buy another set because I didn't have half-mm sizes.

Yeah I used a 3/16 drill bit and that worked great.

wait I'm out in the garage right now I can go check.

Yup, 2.5mm it is.
