yeah exactly

i doubt the piping is melted but it may not be put on just right. but i mean the header alone shouldnt cause the mad vibrating though right?

was the ding for the intake being taken off and possibly not on just right?

yea someone mentioned it i have just been REALLY busy with school...driving me crazy. So i'll take a stab at it tomorrow and if that's not it keep looking i guess.

also hope to have my badges painted black this week

DING!!!!

If your header caused an intake leak, you'd have MUCH bigger problems. Like...you'd be in a paralell universe where that kind of thing is possible lol

(assuming it didn't get close enought for the heat to eat through the piping, which in this case, I HIIIIIIGHLY doubt)

Didn't some1 say intake leak early last week?

i think someone did! the vibration isnt coming from the header; your low idle, probably from the intake being loose, is the car trying to die because the idle is to low

The ding was for the section I hilighted. And if you figured a way to route intake piping close enough that it melted, you probably deserve an award.

hehe my friend is the one that put it back on...guess I better go check...and if so...he owes me money!!!

hopefully i can check today... good thing it was a 28 dollar bomz intake if it is melted but i highly doubt thats the case. i am thinkin its just loose. i'll check today if the weather ever calms down...stupid rain.

morning/afternoon all. I woke up at 3am (after going to bed at 1am) and went and got a hot smoothie at tim hortons. mmm so good. Then I buckled down and continued to slave away at homework. I've been on campus since 7am, I'm giving myself a lunch break right now though :)

Since it doesn't look like my new clutch line will be here until Wednesday I might as well spend as much time on campus as possible so I can make time to do all of my brake/clutch stuff at the same time :)

Today I bought a MAM FMIC from boostdprotegelx. Last week I purchased a manifold, s-pipe and j-pipe. Stocking up on turbo parts is fun. Looking for a turbo still.

well i took the intake off and put it back on, the only thing i noticed was that the coupler that was on the throttle body wasnt quite all the way on. because the little clamp crimped the coupler, apparently when mazda put it back on after fixing the intake manifold they didnt put it on all the way and there was a 2 mm gap maybe, possibly closer to 1 between the manifold and coupler being closed all the way around? but why would it have not started shaking before i did the header? that's the only thing that has me. i havent checked to see if it's fixed because it raining and i need to go to the store, so when it stops i'll go and see what happens. :-\

i stripped my badges off to paint them black and underneath the badge its all black and you can actually see the outline from the black, i guess from dirt getting caught underneath. Does anyone know anything that can get this out/off?
