What have you done to your P5 today?

Thanks errbody! I got everything for sure except the wheels w/ tires. It's in the works. I have a guitar for sale on craigslist and if it goes, those wheels are mine!

BTW, that sparco seat is AWESOME! way better than the Bride babyseat. It's going to be some time before he isn't rear facing. Maybe I'll get one for his sister

protege5 and msp have the same front bumper buddy! (only diff is that 2002 bumpers dont have the side turn signals)
i have my msp lip sitting in my room waiting to be painted, I want to buy a chargespeed subaru lip but shipping is like 80$ ... -_-

This. It has been done to a bumper without the MSP lip, but I know it doesn't work perfect, plus it looks a little odd IMHO. Also, the price on these lips went up after a few of us bought these. I was probably the second or third to do this. After that, the sellers caught on a jacked the prices up. I think I paid a total of $40 or $50 for mine.

theres one on ebay that's 40$
super cheap, super good polyeurathane
its usa-canada shipping that's a total b****.. :/

Just clarifying. The 2002 p5 did not have the side signals located on the quarter panels and the 2003 did. The difference between the P5 bumper and the MSP bumper are the side marker lights. MSP's had side marker lights built into the headlights. I have a 2002 P5 with a MSP bumper, therefor I do not have side turn signals or side markers = very clean

Pictured first is a 2003 P5 before they switched from Midnight Blue to Laser Blue, this car has both side marker lights and side turn signals. If you look at the second image of my 2002 Midnight blue, it has neither of the lights mentioned.

me gusta clean

on a side note...been driving the hell out of my car this week. i think i put almost 1000 miles on it since monday. i want to improve my mpgs on this thing.

so i seafoamed the car today with a decent results. (got to get it on film this time too!)

and after driving about 50 miles i did the oil change.
usually when i do an oil change i'l take off the drain plug and then dust the car or clean it out or something to spend as much time as possibe so i can get every last drop out.
but when i pulled the oil filter i swear it was clean. looks like nothing ever went through it!
and when i filled it i was only able to put in about 3.4 quarts (and thats with the 626 filter)
i am kinda starting to flip out a little

I changed the oil in mine too. What year 626 filter do you use, I was shocked at how small the P5's filter is. I also painted my CAI white.

Interesting. I buy the ones I would buy for my 95 GSR. They have the same diameter rubber seal and also same thread as well. I get Bosch or the Fram filter (3593A).

I did my first auto-x in my P5 this weekend. 220k miles on the motor and ran like a champ the 2.5 hour drive there, 3 runs at WOT in 2nd gear and 2.5 hours back home. The car handled well, the driver needs a lot of work though, but my times improved by about 3 seconds each run. So excited for the next one on the 16th. :)

i got my flip key cut and assembled today.
its all pretty and whatnot!
the guys at homedepot didnt want to cut it because the said that they didnt want to screw up a $200 key.
when i told them it was only $12 they stayed quiet for a while haha

Cool, that's the one where the key just folds up against the side of the fob. Has a better key ring loop. Did one of those but I liked the other shell where the key folded into the fob out of site kinda switchblade style and just keep it alone without other keys on it. Matched the styling of the yr model more IMO but they are both cool. Here's mine. Did one with panic and one without. Ended up keeping the one without panic..........
