What have you done to your P5 today?

Mines gonna be basically the same. I'll have to tough it out for insurance. Im for sure going halves with my dad. Not sure if you're insuring just yourself or paying a parent? I have a two evening a week job (Burger Spot) and that's like, $250 a month. That's gonna be all school year too. I think I'll be decent... Hopefully. I have $800 saved so far but as far as expenses on cars go, im sure that'll be gone in no time. I trust the previous owner. Excuse me dearly for sounding uneducated but, P5s did come with an option for leather seats, right? Its been sorta sketchy as far as my story foes. I was gonna get it at the start of summer but Jeff, that's his name, hasn't decided on what he wants next- now, im not gonna rush him though, he's giving me his baby for a steal (maybe) sand he's replaced the ac stuff messed belt I think) and, it should be pretty set by the time I get it. First thing on my list was audio (splurged on a $250 amp) but ill be spending on keeping it running first off!

Cute cat btw!!!

Played around in a photo editor. Not sure if I'm happy with the changes

Got my new summer tires put on my stock rims today. When mounting the tires I used the jack points that Phen suggested and it worked great, I'll never use the frame rails again :D

what jack point is that?

In the front I put my jack on that little bell-looking part of the vertical cross-member (near the front motor mount) then I put the safety jacks under the front bumper (right next to the "oh **** I'm in a ditch" tow hooks). In the back I put the jack on that little triangle bit of metal that's welded to the rear subframe, and I put the safety jacks on either side of it also under the subframe.

The only downside is that I can't get the car as high as if I used the frame rail but I can fix that by buying a better jack :)

been using those spots for years.. so much easier IMO

Oh yeah... I had used the sub frame before, but that doesn't extend all the way. I've had a friend try to jack up the car in one of the "soft areas". Glad I stopped that before it got out of hand. I was having trouble Saturday figuring out where to jack up the P5 so I could swap out struts doing the back, and the switching to the front. I ended up using those points and it worked great

for new drivers, it's crazy.... mine's like $2000 a year and that's without collision.

im a new driver too and also have an accident on my record(oops). but im only paying 800 a year (reputable insurance company as well)
i was paying that much with my 03 Saab full coverage! (the one i have the accident on)

Took advantage of having the day off to wash her, swap the summer wheels/tires on, buff the headlights and top of the coolant. One day soon, I'll swap out the leaky rad. Also took a couple of pics for fun.

Thanks and I know you do. ;) Maybe that gb thru CS will happen or the guy from Europe will be able to get some sets together? It was overcast here and a little windy today but I've been wanting to do the swap for a couple of weeks now so I jumped on the chance. Tam came home and wasn't too happy that Blue didnt' get any love. She'll get a nice bath and the summer wheels/tires swapped over this weekend. :)

Not holding my breath with the CS ones.. Bommen is looking to see what he can get but i also have a few other spots to look and check, i will eventually have a new set of them.

I have an accident (which technically wasn't my fault, but I think counts against me) and about 3 speeding tickets. With base insurance, I'm paying about $98 a month on my P5, so 1200 a year more or less. That's BASE without collision. My wife has a clean record, has 2 more years of driving experience, and is on a 2004 Mazda3 2.3L. Her insurance is roughly $48 a month or $600 a year. I also pay about the same for our house insurance, about $50 a year :D
Thank you Nationwide

Don't worry Nationwide will **** you over in the end, they always do.
