What have you done to your P5 today?

Wait, what? A rear strut bar solved your rubbing issue in the rear?

I'm ordering new tires next week and was going to go with 215/40-17 again w/ a +40 offset on Tein S-techs and Tokico blues but perhaps I can stuff some 225/40-17 tires in there since I too have a CS rear strut tower brace and rolled fenders. Hmmm...

If a rear tower brace can cause your rear strut mounts to flex THAT much, I'd be worried about other s*** with the car to be honest. I'd hope the unibody was a little stronger than that...

Now that I think of that, I remember a lot of people who were in the know back in the day said that a rear tower bar did next to dick anyway.

I was only rubbing in the rear on hard cornering and the little bit of sway I had is gone :) .100" clearance to the strut and .100" clearance to the fender kinda tight some may say :)

These tires are 225/40/18 Kumho XS and they are extremely square and are close to a 235 profile so I would definately say you'll be good. I'm pretty slammed with +40 rear and +37 front

Big heart indeed! +1 !!!!

Very nice! I'll do some more research and hopefully be able to run (Yokahama Parada Spec2) 225/40-17 +40 offset with my gutted P5. Thanks for posting those pics and the info, brotha.

If I get a set of rims in the future, I think I may go with either some Slipstreams (Rota) or maybe something somewhat understated (similar to the Elbrus rims you can find on tire rack). So far though, I haven't really seen any to jump out at me to make the leap into it (though I would be going 17s and leave it at that).

Hey man... catch your sig. It's a bit too big for forum rules.

Just a friendly heads up. :)

Hmmmm....just how badly do you want them but the bigger question is can I get Tamz to separate with them? lol

16x7.5 +50 offset...very nice for the P5

They still had stock 225/55/16 ginormous tires on them with only like 8k miles. I am going to throw them on my GF's MZ3 since she needs tires. Once she runs those down and buys new tires for her stock wheels (or we get her some aftermarket wheels), I will sell the TPMS and get some 215/45/16's for them and use them for wet weather to save my Blitz/Volks from the ridiculous pot holes that open up.

Well they do look good on the 3 and very nice on the P5. They'll look great on yours with the 215/45s.

Got my new lugnut's in yesterday the bbs center cap's wouldn't fit with them installed so I had them machined on the lathe at work..
