What have you done to your P5 today?

I ordered 150 feet of Edead soundproofing. I love this car but Christ it is loud. I also got six large cans of great stuff expanding foam to spray in all the cavities. I intend to do the floor, trunk and doors as well as the hood. So I add about 45 lbs but I don`t give a rat`s ass I want quiet.

Pat.

Does she ROAR at any speed over 45mph? If so, could be a wheel bearing, or multiple wheel bearings. My P5 ROARED for nearly a year until I replaced them all, she's no Lexus but much quieter now. I can actually have a conversation with my passenger and passengers in the back can listen as well...

Not sure what that Meguires kit cost, but I did mine with super fine sand paper, some blue gritty stuff and some wax about a year ago. They are looking like they need it again. I don't think it cost me over $15 and I think I found that DIY link about it on this site. I pulled the bumper down and removed the headlights. Easier to wet-sand in the sink. Looks like that kit did a good job though...

I only have sheet metal too, whatever that is, looks like it provides a good place for misc. tools to stay hidden...

Some P5's had a sub? Wow, didn't know that.

Yes, the 03.5s have a little sub that sits inside the spare tire. To compensate for the added height, and so the entire rear cargo area wasn't sitting directly on the sub, they added that plastic tray to lift the floor space off of the sub.

If you have one without a sub, you don't have that plastic tray.

I had a little 6.5 in the spare in my 2002 RSX-S, man I miss that car. Love my BMW, but had I kept the RSX-S (that I purchased new 10/2001) it would have been paid off 3 years ago...

Nah, just road noise at any speed, bearings are good.

Alright, just got off the phone about the msp. Gonna go for a test drive tomorrow.

It's bone stock oher than autometer boost gauge, oil pressure, and wieband.

68k miles and no smoking or leaking. Rubber hoses were replaces with silicone when they bought it in 06. No boost spikes above 7 ever. It did have a vac leak At 15 at idle and only 4 on the throttle about a yeR ago and it hasn't doneit again since. Tires are a few months old. Brakes were done up front last month andhe has the rear pads.

They are asking 8 for it.

I will have pics tomorrow

Well this isnt really what i have done "today", but more of what i have done lately.

So far I added an AEM dry flow filter to my injen CAI, changed my brakes pads and replaced a leaking caliper(had some other issues), painted rear valence black, blacked out them headlights, used night shade on side markers and tail lights, and painted my rims black which i already put a small chip in due to dropping the tire iron(bang)

and here are the pics, because all the above mentioned would be pointless without them.
