What have you done to your P5 today?

Bought Meguiar's clay kit today. Tomorrow should be a perfect day to claybar then wax the car so that's what I'll be doing. I need a little bit of advice tho. I have the Turtle Wax ICE liquid wax that is pretty cool but the clay kit came with a sample bottle of the Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I will be using a power buffer so I was wondering, should use the ICE or stick to the Meguiars?

meg's kit is really goood the claybar is amazing.
nevr had a better clay kit than meg's.
and never tried the ICE liquid clay b4 tell me how it is.

Got a call from my engine guy today. My car was on the dyno with the freshly built motor, getting dyno tuned. They had it at 6800 RPMs putting 268 HP to the wheels at 6psi, when the seals blew out of the turbo. They are going to rebuild it and try it again at 8psi. I cant wait to have my car back!

SWEEEETTTT!!!!

Think tranny should hold that much power. Its not like its 400! The new Spec stage 2 clutch and flywheel will be nice now too!

Also got this to install when I get my car back.

Thanks man but I don't have the ICE liquid clay, I just have the liquid wax and was asking whether to use that after the claybar or the meg's wax. I'm glad to know that the kit will work well.

268whp at 6psi with what T3 turbo?? Sounds extremely HIGH! (stoned)

I blew 2 3rd gears one at about 220whp and one at 250whp! Just try to be prepared!

he was talking about wheel hamster power, that's why the numbers look inflated :p

How hard were you on it when your tranny went (twice). I had ni idea I was gonna have that much power in the car. I would have been happy with 230! Im kinda scared the the tuner wants to bumo it up to 8 psi! The shop is standing behind their engine work though. So, we'll see. Hopefully he gets me a printout, because i would like to see it in black and white myself. BTW it is a garrett turbo. T3 ball bearing oil fed and water cooled.

Custom dash mount kit - carbon fiber for my P5

Took about 2 hours to make using a sheet of carbon fiber (1/8" thickness). General measurements were 7.5" x 4 3/4". Make sure you have a couple of good hacksaw blades, carbon fiber chewed them up quickly. Once I had the fit right I used wet sandpaper to take off any sharp edges, worked great.

Although not visible when I was finished with the install, I used the pocket from the old Metra kit to hold the radio up (see pic). I then super glued the pocket to the back of the carbon plate just below the radio cage (see pic). I had to pull the front part of the dash off since the carbon fiber plate was a tight fit, but it's much sturdier than the Metra stock kit. While I had the front dash cluster removed, I fixed a/c "flicker" since my a/c was shutting off in position 2 and 3.

Last week I replaced the front and rear speakers with Pioneer TS-A6872R (6x8) and TS-A1672R (6.5"). They went in very easily with very little customizing. I had to cut the rain guards a little on the rears but other than that, it was very simple. Let me know what you think of the install.

Looks good. Looks better when you use the roof rack though. I have dual Thules on mine.

I'm not all that worried about how it looks, although, if I had a choice, it would be roof racks. But, I can't park in the garage with the bikes on the roof, and the fact I don't have a roof rack on mine.

I got the bike and rack for $250 so I really can't complain

Ok I just spent 3 hours claybaring and only got about half the hood done. I'm throwing a big ******* hissy fit right now because it looks like s*** and I don't know what I did wrong.

I made sure to lubricate the surface with the quick detailer like the instructions said, then I claybared and put some muscle into it to see the gunk come up. The problem was that it took forever to do and it's not even at all.

I noticed that its still sitting on the used car lot.

I don't think you should have to press hard at all when doing the clay. Also did you do it in direct sunlight?
