What have you done to your MSP today?

Got the new msp home as of last week. Bought a cf hood for it as well. Been thinking for a while now about motor swaps and came upon the f2t. I would like to do fe3 but finding a legit mazda fe3 is hard and pricy. Car already had a bp so I'm thinking why not throw something else together? What u guys think?

Trying to get my hands on a Callaway exhaust manifold. I got a minor crack on my OEM. Hopefully the guy bites, he's trying to sell the whole turbo kit.

dont waste money on another calaway. get something better. even an ebay cheapachu will last longer.
as fort he skirt extensions.. wow i wouldnt even notice something like that.. might as well get a home depot lip and save some money heh.

gutting the msp has begun.. fished the awr front mount from it today for the p5 which had a completely rotted out one. also started parting the intake/intercooler to make an sri for the p5. all this stuff will be replaced when the tranny work is done. prob gonna do water to air as i wont be going for big numbers on the msp, just reliable, peppy daily.

i hope to be picking up a pope manifold soon. my stock one had been good but starting to fail. but with over 140k on it i can say its been one of the better ones. and the pope piece looks amazing.

on my downstairs back porch under my second floor deck (and I stay on my third floor most of the time).

I had to read that like 6 times to understand it. haha.

It seems like most MSP owners are 16 these days, more than half the posts on here are a complete joke.

Hay i just buyed a 2002 protege5. how can i get more horsepower out of it? i want to turbo it? can i just liek bolt a turbo on it? also i want an intake. thats liek an extra 342 hp rite? wat else shuld i ad?

In other news I just started donating plasma so I can have a constant flow of car parts money. I want to save up enough for a PEP setup and full exhaust so I can add a wideband and finally install the SSAFC Preferio sold me.

Like you I got a good amount of milage out of my Callaway, but you should get a pope it's sick and he says it will last the life of the car.

My only fear is that, with the pope it may need adjustment to fit. As you know, I'm not that mechanically inclined so I'm looking for something that's a direct fit.

It's going to be the absolute closest to fitting. And I doubt you'll have to alter it, but I don't own one, so I can't say. My Pope downpipe installed without issue.

My place is three stories, the master bedroom and master bathroom are up there and I recently just hung a new flatscreen up there, plus I have a mini fridge, it's like I don't have to use the other two floors! But my point was that its on the bottom floor where I rarely go.

Glad to hear you found a mani. I guess I'll be giving the mam manifold a shot and then I'll decide If I keep the mam or steedspeed mani.
Yep, $200. I picked it up yesterday afternoon with a bunch of other goodies.

Got a complete 03.5 bumper, Greddy BOV, AWR transmission mount, Steedpeeed manifold and an MSP engine cover.

Excellent deal...... too bad there is only 3 msp's counting mine here in SD so no market for great deals like that.

So when I pulled the front mount and filled the sides for my p5 , I also made a cheap sri from hardpipes in my.msp. including the msp.maf sensor. Now the p5 has rough idle and rises and falls at idle. Is it possible running msp maf in blow through for years has damaged it? Ill swap back to p5 maf tonight and compare.

I had to drive 250 miles one way to get it. Haha

I Helicoiled the head for the exhaust manifold studs and installed my new, stainless 40mm studs last night. While it was ******* snowing. I've got to disconnect my oil return line, then it'll be going back together with the Steedspeed. Hopefully get a clutch by the end of the year and an FTC in January, and, assuming I don't break anything else between now and then, she'll be runnin' down the road again. I wanted to sell the 8 and get a CX7 this spring, but a new car will have to wait until Summer or fall of 2015. I thought about selling the MSP to use as a down payment on my replacement daily driver, but it wouldn't be worth it. Even now, with it built and bolt-ons I can't imagine I'd get more than $4k for it. Yet a slammed late-90's/early-00's, Plasti-dipped Honda Civic can pull $5-6k around here. It's freakin' insane.

i just don't understand those Honda guys all that well. they got some sweet rides but there's like 500 all the same. i dont see myself selling my msp anytime soon. if i just go to board with it ill just go ahead and gut it and go full race car status with it. and preferio i might be able to help you out with a ftc. might half to wait till February but i might be able to cut you a good deal.going to haltech on mine at tax time haha. theres no tax time really its extra race car parts time.
