What have you done to your MSP today?

So after picking up my car today, it is running MUCH better. It pulls much harder, and the annoying exhaust leak whistling vanished. BUT, my idle still hasn't improved, and when I'm at WOT the car is still stumbling/falling on it's face around 4 or 5k RPM's. The idle is usually fine until I start it after being warm, the RPM's drop super low and return back to about 4 or 500 RPM's.

Possibly spark plugs for the boost problem?

Sounds like the factory tune.

Well, I had a guy on here flash my ECU in an attempt to fix the factory tune. But I was thinking that as well. I had the CEL cleared at the shop, supposed I'll wait to see if it shows back up and go from there.

Anybody know if the radiator/cooling fan motor is the same for automatic and manual Proteges?

yep pope is t2 5 bolt only. Not to mention when you install that steedspeed t3 its going to change the turbo position and put it parallel with the block. That means ic pipe modification, new coolant lines, new oil return, new oil feed line, new custom dp, intake modification. I think thats it off the top of my head.

ill give you guys a hint the reason he is ordering rods and pistons is because of my post last night......just replace pimp down with............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ENGINE DOWN!!!!!

Jesus. Well leave some motors for the rest of us Chris, we need them too.....well not me I have one good one and one going in to be forged, but for the rest of the msp community Damnit.

It's rod knock! There aren't any holes in the block, so it's totally salvagable. Picking up another engine Sunday and ordering pistons/rods/gaskets/bearings tonight/this weekend. Going to take the engine to the machine shop Monday, so hopefully by the end of the month I'll be back on the road. I really need to start selling all my parts. I'm starting to accumulate both engine parts (obviously) and a ton of other parts.
