What have you done to your MSP today?

What's crazy is that you've been able to drive your MSP for 6 years without the desire to sell it... Not many people can say that.

I've owned mine for 6 years and have the urge to sell it every year, lol.

Anyone want it? Cheap (no, not that cheap). Title in hand.

Quick question: I need to order the relay harness as well when I change the HID bulbs, right?

My original kit was just the lows. One of the bulbs burned out, but all the replacement bulbs I see on sale just have the 2 wires/amp connectors for the ballast, ours need the wires for the harness as well.

OK it seems I need the power harness, not the relay harness. The bulbs I ordered didnt come with them. The Techone bulbs had the wires built into the bulb, while the Xentec don't. Didnt event think to check.

pretty sure my radiator is busted...it's doing the same thing my stock radiator did before I tossed it. FML!!! on the flip side, I'm taking this time to prep for the MAM mani install.

When everyone runs there gauges from the engine bay to the interior, what grommet or hole did they go through? a picture would be very helpful!

Also when you install the intake manifold, there are 6 bolts or so. Do these bolts have torque specs and if so where can I find them?

Asking these questions because I recently had the engine rebuilt and need to put the manifold back on and I got gauges for Christmas, but drilling a hole through the firewall seemed a bit excessive.

thanks!

open your hood. look to the drivers side, near the brake booster there's a grommet there. use that one.

That large black cylinder at the top of the picture is the windshield wiper motor so that gives you a reference point if you can't really tell the location from the picture. Hope this helps.

BTW Don't give me s*** about it being left open!

ok so i bypassed the coolant going to the turbo, still smoking. inside my oil cap is light colored oil but my compression is 180 180 173 180.. that head gasket? im so confused. when i did an oil change last week there wasnt coolant in oil. im loosing coolant daily and it drives like s***.

im thinking head gasket but i want to make sure its not rings or something else. i have to do whatever repair in a drive way in winter weather so i want it to be right haha

That doesnt sound like a headgasket. The compression being only 7psi off is a normal deal. If it was me, I would start looking elsewhere

any discoloration?

sorry ive been sick so i havent been on. They are lighter than normal but with a cracked exhaust mani it idles at 17 afr so i think thats what was causing that. it was reading normal afr cruising and in boost it looked normal(i havent boosted much since the thunder mani was cracked so bad)

see the thing that gets me is it never smoked until i replaced the thunder mani with the stock one. which made me think turbo at first. i got a coolant pressure tester so im going to see if i see any leaks with the plugs out or anywhere else.

thats what im doing now. i think my water pump is bad cause if im in heavy traffic itll get hot till my fans kick on, and coolant is shooting out the resevoir quite often. i have a water pump already, and a pressure tester so thats next on my agenda.

also one more thing, does a turbo have to smoke grey if its bad? Can it be white? This is my first turbo car. Really the only thing that changed since not smoking and smoking was me changing manifolds but i also have in and out shaft play. so maybe me testing it made it worse?

really simple thing to check...is your radiator cap broken?

Take it off, it should have a round piece on the inside that can move...that can break off a lot of the time and that will cause the coolant to just shoot out the overflow.
