What have you done to your MSP today?

k I'll go do one now, it's from my digital camera so I'm sure it won't sound just like it does in person but it's probably pretty close

and here is the pic that I posted I in the FMIC thread I think but it shows the mounting of the horns, and for the video I didn't really want to do anymore just because my dog was right next to the car and was freaking out haha

So any of you guys ever think about making some braking ducts out of the 03.5 fog covers? I've been thinking about cutting out the back part, grafting in a NACA duct, then grafting a hose connection onto the brake sheild.

I don't brake nearly enough to need that, so not here.

and ya monkey they all sound about the same, the Hella ones were the only ones I could find around, there all better than the stock one that sounds like a roadrunner lol

I've only been noticing braking deficiency since I've started racing the car. I've got new Hawk Pads, and EBC rotors, but everytime I bomb down a backroad, or run a good run at the auto-x, I've been feeling, and smelling, the brakes overheating. :(

I've thought about making a kit like what you said but I wanted fogs instead....

You guys inspired me to hook up my piaa sports horns. People might not laugh when I honk now

mspm1chelle did a gi maybe even a group buy on something like that I think last fall.

well, flushed the power steering, took it around the block to check it out, that part went great, but it died as soon as I got to my driveway and the temp gauge is all the way up. Had to push it to park it in the street.

any thoughts? new mishimoto rad, no leaking, fluid levels are good, new water pump, no leaking, new spal slim fans

Btw oOon8 I should be coming up there to that meet in your signature.... should be fun

gonna be riding around after work to find someone with a flange that is the same 3inch 2 bolt flange as the one on Pope's dp. Anyone have any clues? Should any exhaust shop carry it?

you sure that one or more of the brakes are not catching/sticking, have you checked the brake boots to make sure there are no tares?

well since there is no leaking, I can't say for sure, but let me know if you end up figuring it out, although my brother's msp is actually leaking coolant from somewhere, because I can't find it anywhere coming out and there is no white smoke in the exhaust( I think the coolant is white when burned right?), although I gotta have him change his oil anyways and am going to check to see if any is in there. but I just can't figure out what the hell is going on, he has been good so far but the coolant leaking is driving me nuts..

but anyways, did you let the car idle for a while after doing the new rad and stuff? I was screwing around with my stereo settings after I installed my new rad. and I noticed the steam coming from it, it was also leaking a little too but I fixed that, but I was just surprised to find some steam coming from the rad. cap, but I drove it up and down the road and it was great after that, but I just had let it sit for a while to make sure all the air and everything was worked out..

oh and also I forgot but I really doubt this is the case but I would assume you had the correct levels of coolant/water ratio ect.. it's really basic but you never know, might just forget one day lol

it's idle for a bit a couple times and has gone around the block before. Did not bleed it from the heater core. I got one suggestion to take off the top hose of the rad and see if I can pour antifreeze into the block that way. Person doesn't know alot about cars so not sure if I trust that idea.

if you havent blead the heater you need to. take off the rad cap(once cool of course) start the car and put the heat on full and blower on full and let it run.

might take a while for it to cool down but will try that. Thanks

you sure there are no air pockets? Did you blead the air out of the heater core?

Yeah, we bled em. It was actually doing it before I installed the new pads as well. That's why I changed the pads. I thought that was the issue, and the old pads did have heat cracks, but even after we changed them it still does it.

Yeah, everything has been checked. The shop that sponsors me does an inspection of the car after every race.
