What have you done to your MSP today?

i need to find a new exhaust manifold. Im back on stock mani now since i sold my mam mani to get a different manifold and the new manifold ended up now working out so i had to get a refund. I'm not really a fan of the steedspeed manifold design and would prefer a tubular mani like what i used to have oh well ill just hold out one of them will pop up sooner of later. Or i could always have one custom made

But the steedspeed is reaaaaaaalllllly nice :) plus he is a very good guy to deal with if you have any problems. My new one looks so sexy in black.

so glad you decided to keep the msp. it really is one of my favorite msps.

The steedspeed is nice but to make power I would pick a tubular Mani with a properly designed pyramid collector over it anyday.

Thanks man its the first time I've ever had my car call a favorite lol.

Its really well done and very clean. Plus its a titanium ;)

Also when I drove a speed6 I didn't like the fly by wire feeling or the cable shutters.

Thanks man that means alot. I totally agree with you about the ffly by wire and the shifter. For me the shifter was in a weird position compared to the msp

The new Mazdas(and most new cars) have electronically controlled throttle bodies, instead of a tb cable like ours.

And with the shifter you just don't get the feeling of the car like cable shifters.

It can. I don't like cable shifters cause the cables can break. Rather the ends of the cable can. And with the fbw doesnt always respond as fast as a cable throttle. Plus with all these new electronic controls, the car can limit your power when it wants. Like my buddy's cobalt ss supercharged. , it cuts out almost all of his power in first gear. And a friend of mine with a 2010 mazda 6, it cuts his power band when it thinks hes beating on it to much. I don't like all that electronic crap.

also you can control cruise control without any extra equipment in the engine bay, its pretty cool idea, but performance wise theres no benefit

lol.. mazda6 says: beating quota exceeded. downgrading powerband lolol

After getting comfortable in the MS6, I have to say I feel the exact opposite. I always thought the MSP shifter was in an awkward position, almost like I always felt like I reaching for it. The MS6 shifter is right where my hand wants to go and the gates are notchy and close. Hey, when are you going to pick up this MSP stuff outta my trunk?

lol maybe tonight if i don't have to work late? I like how low the msp shifter is because i have long arms lol. i dont know maybe i need more seat time in a ms6. btw check your pm's im sending one your way

how does the ecu react with not having the second o2 sensor in there? or does the msp only have one 02 from the factory?

the jpipe has an extra bung, tuning bung if you wanna call it that. the second 02 is further back behind the cat, if I remember the extra bung is before the spring bolts but it has been probably 5 years or more since I last looked at the location when I removed my oem exhaust.
