Anyone know of a good engine damper besides the weapon-r?

no one else makes one for the protege...try motor mount inserts before you go for a dampener, will be a lot cheaper

I dont really know how effective an engine dampener would be. Motor mounts are much more effective.

I have a ebay one and its pretty much the same as a weapon-r one.. Grant it the wep r one is a little nicer but over all they feel the same to me when under the hood. The damper is good if you want more then inserts but almost as good as solid mounts without athe vibrations. The only down side is the noise transfer but you even get that with the solid mounts.

So my oem coolant bottle cracked again. I busted it when I blew my head gasket. And I resealed it. It started leaking the other day so I'm buying a coolant can and a ps can on friday. Then ill be buying a oil catch can soon to from him too. Can't wait.

Installed the Medieval passenger motor mount, and finally relocated the vacuum block to the brake booster. Man was my OEM mount ******. I have less vibration with the Medieval than I did with the OEM LOL!! My 1st to 2nd shift is much smoother now, though still not perfect so I am sure the rear mount is fubar as well. Check out the carnage below...

Installed my new Rally Armor universal mudflaps today. Was dark when we finished, will post pics tomorrow. They stood up to 100mph so I'm guessing they're pretty well secured.

I just wanted to see harness routing, and a few other little things. Its wayyy easier than it looks. lol. And this coming from someone who wired and tuned an MSM on a Hydra before Flyin' Miata came out with a pnp harness.

Has anyone ever had the diaphragm in a hks ssqv go out? I'm just curious cause I'm experienceing this thing where under boost, it sounds like I have a bunch of leaves I'm my intake. It sounds like a fluttering noise or something like that. And my hks doesn't really sound like a hks all the time. Moat times it just sounds like a woosh of air. And I dint hear the fluttering noise till the hks started sounding like that. Just curious if anyone has any idea. Justanothermp5 has experienced the noise once I'm my car. Maybe he can put some input in for a further description

Did you buy the valve used? It may need to be lubed. There is a how to that says to use gun oil.
