I get the subaru line all the time... in the titanium. Hell, I got it last weekend at the autocross I went to. IT WAS A MAZDA CLUB EVENT!!!
They were wondering why the STi was behaving (locking up the inside rear wheel) like a FWD car... (flame2) I can see how people would get confused, and it performs a hell of a lot better than it appears it should. But still people.
I'm thinking of putting a "Not an STi" sticker on the car somewhere, or changing my license plate to: "NOT STI" or "NOTSUBY"
massive fail.
I'm curious to see what happens when I show up for autoX.... i bailed last time cuz my dog died that morning... Best time: 0:00.00... doesn't that mean I win?
I actually don't disagree with you...my msp never had a wga problem handled 9psi of boost no problem, never snapped the diff (had it welded just before 100k just in case) and besides the trans having a nut back off (I don't think I can attribute that to mazda) never really had much of a problem.
my diff popped... but my WGA is going strong at 89K miles. only thing that changed my boost was adding the FMIC, when I delete the cats and scrap the S-pipe it'll probably go up again.
I did boost solid to 9.5psi indicated once... shut the car off, restarted it (to re-zero the gauge) and after that it was back to the 7.5 I've had since the FMIC... so I think it may have been the gauge, not the car.
