What have you done to your MSP today?

Those rims looks absolutely sick though. What color are you looking to PC them?

yeah, i love the rims. silver is just kinda boring and doesn't really match anything on my car. was thinking about gunmetal or brightish black. gold would be awesome, but a little to flashy for my taste. they had some really cool colors at the shop!

You could consider primer, paint, and clearcoat instead...
Too bad you're not in Portland. We have a shop called STB Powdercoat; nice guys and very reasonable.

On the bright side, the more I look at your wheel pics, the more they grow on me just as they are! Likin' the black lugs too.

yeah, i refinished/painted my racing harts. they look great, but it was SO much work. these 10 spokers would be even more work!

Damn 500 is crazy! I say u keep them silver dude. Well to me, they compliment those yellow calipers u got. And they look awesome on yellow. Maybe i need to see them in person, but they look great in the pics.

As for the tires, yes those bad boys are hella beefy. 225/50! But they fit fine. I got lugs to go with them. Im gonna talk to Lawrence today about some track tires.

If you decide to paint, check out the yellow pages or talk to your powder coat shop... Up here we have places where you can rent the use of the bead blaster and then buy your own sand/beads. The hard part of doing the work is prep. Having the use of a blaster really makes it easier. Its actually kinda fun.

I just checked out the price for myself locally and it's 65 for a whole day rental. Not bad at all. How much does the media usually cost?

You must be talking about renting the equipment to take home, which is cheaper if you have a place to use it where its ok to make a huge mess. I was talking about shops where you rent the use of the equiment and do it there. Here in town, last time I did it it was $40.00 an hour with a one hour minimum. You can do a lot in an hour once you get used to how to do it. What the medium costs depends on what you use. Silica sand is cheap.. about $10-$12 per bag. Fine copper slag (which is awesome to remove rust or heavy coats of paint) is $14-$16. Fine bead (for fine/detail work) is $20-$25 per bag. Once you get hummin you could use 4-5 bags in an hour. So, total to prep four wheels could be $80 to $100. But you end up with four wheels well prepped in an hour or so and get a professional quality finish.

Actually, I'll bet there are a dozen shops in the Bay area that would do it for you (the prep) for about $35 to $40 per wheel. Up here I could get them prepped and coated for about $75-$80 each if I did all four (more each when there's less quantity)

imho, you might want to check out a few more shops... there must be one that does good work but is a little slow right now.

Yep I was looking at the one where you take it home. Completely slipped my mind that there would be a huge mess involved. I'll definitely keep all that in mind. though (thumb) Thanks

Here's the pics of my wideband :D

seriously, can't justify $500 for color since i only paid $360 for wheels and tires to begin with. could have just bought a $900 set to begin with and come out the same....

you get those hood props in yet? i saw the video you posted of the last set. hahaha....

I got Prosport's or wahtever... But im still not liking them that well.... They are rattleing and they are REALLY REALLY tight (for non carbon hood thats why) But Eh.... they work this time haha.
