What have you done to your MSP today?

I thought its only supposed to go to 0 on startup when it does its calibration. On shutoff i thought it just stops wherever. Thats what mine does. I could be wrong though.

depends on which series of gauges you have. The base mechanical guages tend to be quite inaccurate

yea the autometers tend to have a problem where the needle gets off and doesn't stop at what the gauge reads as 'zero'

Yep, my Autometer Ultra-lite reads close to "1 psi" when off. From what I understand the only thing you could do is send the gauge back to Autometer. There isn't any way you can re-calibrate it yourself.

Took the ride to the dealership to fix the rust on the hood and bottom of the passenger door....it was about time they stepped up to the plate and fixed the result of their poor quality....

Installed my SU front motor mount and did a compression test last night. My car drives so much better with the new motor mount... the stock one was torn all to hell.

I used a full bottle of bug and tar remover and still didnt get all the tar off! Gotta love construction... I also turned 6 bright green microfiber towels brown-ish black.

i hate to tell ya but i don't think you will be able to get it all off :(

Well the car went from browish-black to yellow with the stuff I used! I have about 99.8% of it off. I just ran out of stuff to use so I will be able to get it all off. I'm not to worried about the wheel wells just the painted surfaces, and wheels.

The MSP looked as if I drove it down dirt roads for 3 months and never washed it due to the tar! Well with the exception of the rear bumper. Their was tar even on the spoiler! I still dont see how that one happened.

...had a coupler from my cold pipe to intercooler come off on the freeway....again!!!

use KEROSENE!! wont hurt the paint and will get it all off.. i live in no where and they tar the roads twice a year..

wow i used laquer thinner and clay on a white car once and there was still quite a few spots left on it.

Don't get me wrong I have to spray it on and wait a min or two before I wipe off. Their are a few spots that take two passes and three for the really havey areas. I turned a bright green mircofiber towel brown and thats after washing it a few times! All of those towels are trash now... They still smell like the cleaner so their not any good for anything other then removing the tar now.

finally got my awr tranny mount on, and what a difference, I cant believe i didnt put it on sooner, no more clunk hop when i drop the clutch! easy, easy install too, minus the fact that I was rockin football receiver gloves underneath yellow latex dish washing gloves to keep my fingers from freezing...
