I was gonna say because i was under the impression when that cel came on it threw the ecu into limp mode

I've had a CEL thrown for "Bank 2 CKT No Activity" (P0440, I believe) which is basically saying my second O2 sensor is dead many times. What actually had been happening was carbon was clogging my non-fouler setup and the O2 sensor wasn't getting a reading. During the time the CEL would be on I didn't experience any adverse driving effects. AFRs were the same, no stuttering or limping. I never left the CEL on (always cleaned the non-fouler) long enough to get a good mileage reading but from what I could tell nothing changed.

Ryan, if you're talking about when you ran open downpipe that can cause funny driving because ambient air can make it's way up the downpipe and mess with the primary O2 sensor. When I lost a stud at the s/j pipe connection the same thing happened to me.

thats how mine was, i got a new upstream o2 sensor and i still have a CEL but im not running rich anymore like i used to.

This is because the primary O2 sensor (upstream as you put it) has A LOT to do with how the car runs. I was referring to the secondary O2 sensor (the one after the cat).

Has nothing to do with anything outside of open loop. Besides, most of this all happened last summer before I had the AFC installed.

Must be a different code then when the second O2 sensor senses too much carbon, etc. However, we're not talking about too much particulate emission, we're talking about dead sensors. I just said that I got a "dead sensor" code and there were zero driveability effects.

Washed it fir the first time since buying the car. Also clay cleaned, clayed, and waxed it(Only did the hood due to the fact that I was running out of shade.

well today i put my msp on a trailer to be towed home. Exciting right i think i blew the tranny.

cd player displays, Mecha Error. Other times repeated TOC error's. Only plays real cd's now sometimes, no burnt cd's.

And ripped out my gauges, I can't even see how the wires are hooked up they are so far under the dash, might need to remove the dash to get to them if I wanna undo all the wiring. Auto meter triple pod kept falling, so I just became really pissed off and ripped it down.

I'm so pissed off right now for so many reasons.

Well I managed to get the entire passenger & driver side, and hood clayed and two layers of wax before it literally rained on my parade.:'( Oh well hopefully on my next day off I can get the top of the cab, trunk, wing, front, and rear bumper... I only did the parts that I could do in the shade today. But man can I tell the difference in the areas that I have done.

nope not a garage queen. I wish i had a garage or hell even a car port for that matter! Its been raining every day since I purchased it or well at least on my days off anyways. You gotta keep in mind the area I live in.... damn hurricanes man.

I love the difference the clay bar makes, putting on some meguiars gold class afterwards make the paint shine like a mother!

yep thats what I did with a coat of turtle was on top of that... It has a real nice shine! The really werid part is that I noticed a huge difference with the car bar on my car but on my truck no so much and the paint is 14 years old!
