What have you done to your MSP today?

installed vibrant today! should i have gotten new hangers? it seems like it is rattling on something when i start to accelerate and then goes away.

while fiddling around with the turbolife fmic i discovered why my apexr1/greddy sp2 combo had been rattling like crazy. turns out the douche that installed my exhust did not install the kartboy hangers i gave him, and neglected to tell me. i dont even know what he did with them. ******

finally had some work done while i was on vacation a few weeks ago. mods are; Custom MSP SMIC, Corksport Power Series exhaust, Corksport motor mount inserts, JoeP FPR, Ground Control Coilovers, ATP wasregate actuator, blacked out front emblem. did a quick detail and took some pics. building is a church across the street from my apartment.

nope, there's about an inch of thread left on each sleeve. i'm keeping them up a little for now to put more pressure on the springs to break them in quicker. i'll go a little lower next weekend.

Hi there, I'm trying to make a cold air intake to my car and or try to shield the filter from sucking the insane high temps inside my engine bay, any ideas, pictures of how to make a Cold air Intake with 4" Piping ?

the only real effective way to get a SRI to not suck cold air is to use a box.

or to convert it to cold air.

what u should do is put a box behind the driver headlight with a port so u can hook that black tubing to it then a filter inside it. then undernieth that make a port that will take in fresh air from that hole thats already in the body.

then seal it all up top with some nice foam that will rest against the hood when clsoed. and make sure to account for engine mvoement.

other than that you will have to do some major cutting for a 4" pipe.

lately ive had the hankering to make one myself. I cant weld but theres plenty of metal puttys and jb weld out there to make it more than solid enough.

I washed and claybarred mine last night. Eagle one has this spray on tire cleaner thats safe for all wheels. I highly recomend it. Its in a silver spray bottle with a blue label. works so good.

I have to wax her up friday. All the paintchips make me sad though. I want to respray but i know what happens when you do that :(

I helped my friend take out the sub rack, only to find out that the JL 8W3-4 doesn't fit (hand)

Time to fab something up

Here's my thing. Surely Mazda can still spray a color from a car it built not more than 5 years ago. I feel no sympathy for you all with black, silver, or blue MSP's/MP3's. I assume that the yellow is very similar to the spicy.

Tell me again why the spicy orange can't be matched? It's deep orange with green and yellow flakes... how hard is that?

im not sure why its so hard. I had a CF hood painted by a very reputable painter and if u looked one way the flake and color were perfect but if u step back it looked WAY more vivid yellow. beats the heck out of me why its so hard.

Im ready to get it professionally flat blacked lol this way, i know it can be matched.

I remember talking to someone at the dealership about a special yellow miata they have sitting in the shop. He said this was the fifth time the car had been back because the paint didn't match.

Matching a complex color, especially one with multiple metallic flakes, is extremely difficult because you have to get the proportions of the flakes perfect. Not sure the parts per million of flakes is part of the paint code.
