What have you done to your MSP today?

god damn you make my car look like s*** compared to yours:(

nah man dont take it that way, i mean the point of these forum is to learn and to share to others what we have, and what you have. we all should be happy with what we have, is not that i have something that nobody can do or have. i started just like you to mod up the car... look at Piranas car, hes car have been in very prestigious Tuner Magazines, websites, he have won tons of trophiess you know... i hope and wish one day i can see my car in one of those magazines and get respected the way Victor did with his Beautiful MSP, and get recognized for everything ive done to my car...i sure dont consider my self a bad ass or that i have the best Protg, but i really feel proud that i went and did something different, just like Pirana did when he had his Freaking Beautiful MSP..

not an MSP, but i looked through all the old photo's of My ES-T that i wrecked the s*** out of in 2005 :(

sad to hear you totaled your baby. what are you rolling with now ?

i totalled it long ago, so a few cars since then. Currently, i'm rolling in a 93 Toyota Cynos Beta/Paseo with a Starlet GT Advance Turbo Swap. (4EFTE). its a 1.3 Liter Turbo 4 cylinder and gets 40+mpg (dunno)....i got 46mpg on my journey to columbus this weekend (shady)

I'm presently looking for another Gen1 LX as a beater while the Paseo is down for the turbo rebuild. I miss my proteges

Dude... I've been wondering how much fun it would be to build a street fighter Paseo. Those cars are pretty nice. I almost got one a time ago. It's a 1.3 liter?

they are 1.5 liters (5efe). My motor is from a japanese Starlet GT Turbo, which is a destroked/low compression version of the same motor (4efte). stock internals are good for 22psi and around the 250-280whp range. stock though (4e) they have an insanely small turbo (CT-9) and isnt really worth even keeping..its slow. there are TONS of puerto rican dudes/Florida peeps making huge numbers from the 1.5 block. HRF (tuning company in japan specific to the Starlet and this motor) are pushing 550whp from a 1.5. after that other companies such as HRF and Jam Racing are swapping 3sgte (mr2/celica turbo motors) or 4g63 evo motors in them and making upwards of 700 and 800hp

heres the HRF V300 1.3 liter starlet (same chassis as a paseo/tercel). Makes 430hp to the engine. its a rocket ship

heres a Florida boy with a BYP built 363whp tercel (1.5 liter block)

Well, I just took this out!
along with tons of other parts,
100_1093.jpg

I'm pulling the trans this week

One more week. I get my car back this weekend with the new Quaife. I'm almost as excited as when I gave birth to my son. Well... almost because lets face it, its alot easier to wait 2 weeks than 9 months. lol

Well today I snapped 3 bolts off in the head while trying to replace the exhuast mani gasket. The bolts that I broke I didn't even get then snug before they snapped. Thankfully they snapped at the head of the bolts and not flush with the engine head! Lost my 13mm socket/wrench about 30 times inbetween the turbo and the block....gawd was that irratting.

Cleaned up the rats nest of wires from the previous owner under the dash. Thankfully they used vampire clips on everything except when they went to bypass the mazda security system.... so now I have to figure our how to correct that issue. Also figured out why my boost gauge doesn't light up at night. And I figured out that my midpipe needs new exhuast hangers due to both of them beign broke..... yeah its been a long stressfull day and to top it all off I forgot that I get really bad heat rash.(I knew their was a reason why I do computers) lol

So now I have to go back and redo it all again tomorrow. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do for new exhuast mani bolts? Mazda wants 4 bucks a pop and cant even get them here tell weds.... Does napa, autozone, advance carry the proper hardware? Also where can I get ramp extentsions so I can just drive the b**** up onto ramps.

Edit: Anyone know if I can just slap on a catless midpipe without it throwign a CEL or will I have to do the non-fouler trick?

Do it the right way the first time. Buy ARP hardware from one of the vendors: Protege Garage, Crossover Auto, Str88t Un1t, etc.

What do you mean by ramp extensions? If your ramps are too steep to allow you car to get up, just use some 2x8 or 2x10 pieces of wood to get your car at a better angle when it meets the ramp.

I received the news that my Steedspeed turbo manifold and Weapon-R engine damper have shipped.

I got so excited I had to change my pants.

I was Lazy today and just did my oil catch can fix. now is working the way it should. one hose to the side of the valve cover and the other to the intake.

I can Finally say im Completely done with the engine bay, except for the 505ZOOM custom Intake Manifold i will be adding, last and final shots of the engine bay..

you should of hooked the hose up to the pcv bro not the valve cover

nah men, these is the way you should do it. i had it before like that when i had my Injen Intake, and it was working fine. about the pcv valve is the same thing, the pcv valve is inserted in the valve cover. look around and you'll see that 99.9% of the people have it the way i have it..

I didn't know ARP made bolts for the exhaust mani going into the block. Either way I ended up going down to Ace hardware and picking up some grade 10 bolts and fixed the issue. The fix went extremly smooth today!! I guess working 12 hours and (being up for 15) and doing the exhuast mani yesterday just wasnt a very good idea.Yesterday my house could of been on fire and I would be like eh whatever i have insurence. lol

Edit: I used to do the blocks of wood thing but I always end up using them for something or another. So when I need them I'm sol becuase I cant find any lol
