What have you done to your MSP today?

installed 6000kHIDs, injen cai, WeaponR hardpipes, and customMSP SMIC last weekend, was pretty fun, now ill be ordering the vibrant exhaust with motar mounts/exhaust hangers and maybe a good boost gauge/controller if i can find one, andd.. hmm BOV as well, and gotta install the 8000k HID headlights when they come in this week too, just gotta figure out where to mount the ballast

Eh, just feel like posting in here......Not today but pretty damn recent, i tinted my windows 5% all around. Cant see s*** at night, but it looks damn good....all that matters :p

i loved that pic i had to copy it (stash)
MSPgrass.jpg

lol at photoshop i can see your garage under your wing lol.

haha i bet, my old passat i had 15% and i had enough trouble backing out of dark driveways lol

mang for realz....i get nervous reversing now. Especially outta my driveway at night, i just go and hope there isnt a car there.....my other ride is in the garage with me, so if someone is parked behind me when i reverse, thats on them lol

I have 2 pics on my phone, but ill be snapping some updated pics of the banana with the camera this week and posting a thread. New goodies to show ;)

noticed both my rear wheels have screws in them from parking on a job site recently, just bought the tires in february. also heard some clunking from the front passenger wheel well. got the car in the air and noticed that the mechanic who tried to install my coilovers a week ago never bolted the sway bar link back up to the strut and it was just banging around. and he never put the lug nut key back in the car so i had to drive 40 more miles for him to fix it, still doesn't sound right.

this is why you do your own work....

that gives me ideas for down the road... 2 tone red and titanium grey... I can think of many graphic design oppertunities with that combo.

found an interesting problem that was a relief and a pain in the ass that cost me $91 and took up three hours to fix. I have heard a clunking noise for the past few days when coming to stops or when taking off from a light, hitting bumps, etc. etc but it wasnt coming from the rear of the car. so today when i had some time I popped the hood and saw that I was missing all four screws that held the air filter housing to the velocity stack for my air intake! how the hell that happened I had no idea. two weeks ago or so when i put my adp on everything was fine. today my airfilter is just hanging over my intake pipe and coupler and was banging all around the enging bay. lucky it is a tight fit between the side of the bay and the intake pipe or i might have lost the filter. unfortunately my dad doesnt have the one size wrench or ratchet i needed to loosen my t-bolts so i can see what size screws i need to buy to fix this, so i went to sears.com bout a 137 piece mechanics tool set for $90 and had to wait 1 hour to pick up in store. took it home took it apart and saw what screw i needed. drove to four stores before i hit home depot and ended up buying wrong size. drove back to home depot and got right size and finally got everything put back together. I am still scratching my head how four screws which were tight a few weeks ago could come all the way loose and fall out.

It's called vibrations, contraction, and expansion. It's the reason why I Loctite every bolt I take out and put back in. Not on the same level, but a bird feeder my wife put up is bolted to a stand. The bolts kept coming loose and falling to the ground (and disappearing). I finally said screw it and replaced the bolts and used Loctite to secure them. They haven't worked free since. Loctite is good stuff.

Amen to that.

Amen to that.

Damn terbow, june sure is a long month. Ride of the month's haha just had to say that..

quick question for you or anyone. It's common sense And I think I already know the answer but I'll ask anyway.

Soo, my CEL for too much fuel is officially gone, turned off by itself car wants to run right. My problem is the cracked manifold..... this would cause a big drop in performance and loss of boost? cause that's what I'm dealing with. Like I said I think the answer is yes but I thought I'd ask. Plus I'm bored so....

Yes. Exhaust would be escaping before it hits the turbo turbine, therefore the turbine won't be spinning as much as it should be, therefore less boost, resulting in less performance.

^^ similar problem here. my car makes a nice whistling sound from the stock calloway header being slightly warped and not sitting perfectly flush against the head. it goes away once the car warms up and the header expands. though i still hear a slight whistle everytime the needle goes past 2k on the tach in either direction. don't think it affects my boost, but investing in a boost gauge might be the next step.
