Got it back from the paint shop where they re-painted my rear bumper. Let's say that my car felt really quick after one week driving my girl's 94 Chevy Cavalier.....

Not yet - I'm still paranoid as hell about adding it to the brake booster line. I've only ever put it in the gas tank as I thought one of my injectors was going bad. I've been warned by several people not to add it to the oil in turbocharged cars. Something about the turbo seals and the possible clogging of a feed or return line.

I've done it through the PCV line, you shouldnt use the brake booster line due to the check valve and I had no issues.

But what you said about as far as using it in the oil is also what Im concerned about too LOL

oh wait, you have a P5, there is no check valve lol. I've done it to our P5 via the brake booster line and worked fine...

just have someone hole the cup of seafoam while you rev the engine under the hood

I was just wondering if maybe doing it int he oil might cure the valve tick i have at start up every now and then...its louder than normal but goes away as the engine/oil warms...

Yes there is...just about any car that has a vacuum operated brake booster has a check valve. Its why you are able to pump the brakes three times before they get real hard

because people have no idea what they are talking about?? I have no idea honestly...best bet is to get some vacuum line pull the line from the manifold and inject it through there

My car had a ticking noise since I got it. I put seafoam in the crank case when I changed the oil. It seemed to have helped out the issue. It still ticks but no where near as loud, and I was going to put seafoam in with this oil change but I completely forgot because I was rushing like a mad man.

go for it just add a little...i dont really have experience with seafoam but heard good things. I dont see how it would clog the turbo or hurt the seals unless it has debris or it hurts rubber in the first place

Yeah that check valve is another reason I haven't run Seafoam through the brake booster. When I eventually install a vacuum block on the brake booster I'll be able to bypass that check valve and use seafoam on the other side.

As for Seafoam in the oil - it was probably just speculation but the people I was talking to said that because Seafoam is a de-carbonizer some of that gunk could become loosened and clog a feed line. That and extra particulates in the oil can't be good for turbo seals. Like I said, probably just speculation but who knows.

I called seafoam to get an answer to the pcv line vs bb line and they said pcv because fo check valve. he said adding to oil is not going to mess anything up at all. he said do it about 100 miles before your next oil change since it does thin out the oil as it is cycled through.

Did you not read my post? Yeah I did it. I had it in there for 3000 miles. Turbo is still in great shape. Helped with the ticking noise. Car runs great.

just follow the ratio instructions and dont forget to change oil after 100 miles maximum
