What have you done to your MSP today?

so u think if i get an afc it will cure the problem?

The problem may never be 'cured'... unless you relocate the MAF... no matter what you do when that air is vented off you will be running rich for a short time. Which is why i am just runnin the BPV... because i would rather have the car run correctly. The dual set-up is just minimizing the effects you see when you run just a BOV.

gotcha....I guess ill live with it for the time being since i just installed everything 2 days ago! Bov does sound nice tho without any turkey!
 
any pics of a maf relocation? how hard is it, i would hate to have to cut into my turbohoses pipe kit but if that is needed i will do it. now by doing the relocate do you still need to run the dual setup or can you run a straight bov in place of the bpv?

i'm your man, make sure you weld your flange towards the bottom half of the cold pipe.

so it goes like this intercooler, bov, maf, intake mani.

this way you will not stall. compared to intercooler, maf, bov, intake mani, you will stall.

so remember, just relocate your maf, but make sure your bov is on the bottom of your coldpipe.
 
okay so i do still need to run the dual set up with the relocated maf, i was thinking that since the air is going through after the bov (if put in stock bpv location) the a/f mix wouldnt be screwed up. I was planning on using a recirc bov like the forge

you dont have to run the dual setup if you have a relocated maf
 
sweet, i actually got something right in the tuning of my car! lol. might go ahead and order my forge bov then

what is the title of the thread you are trying to create? Does it contain the word "car" ? If so, take that out of the title and try again.

Creating a thread w/ car in the title or trying to do a search using car anywhere throws the server for a loop since that word has been used a billion times on here lol

Terbow, quick question.

IIRC, you took your hand at tinting your MSP with a kit. Did you buy a pre-cut kit from eBay or something?

i got it from snaptint.com they use a good brand of tint (solarguard or something). I heard bad about the ebay stuff but i guess as long as u know what film your getting its ok.

they even have a tool kit and warranty on snaptint so i went with that.

i failed miserably cause i didnt know how to take out the weather stripping and i think thats the key. (removing the door panel makes it a million times easier to slide back in) but i didnt feel like doing it after i screwed up a window so i had it done professionally so that i can ream someone elses ass if it screws up lol
