hop on msn ******
LOL, using that video to better visualize me and dubby. To bad your car is down and Justin isn't driving his anymore; it would have been fun to see where I sit with the real MSP guys...i seriously miss my car. i watched my video of me racing msp608 tonight and i just want to drive it so bad =(
Is this just an MSP tune thing? I notice that whenever I shift the AFRs go lean then rich and then back to normal all pretty quickly and I usually get a nice puff of black in the process. If I shift really quickly it just goes rich; weird. Probably related to the relocated MAF, 626 IM or something else along those lines.Ugg, that video.
I think his tail lights might be 'bluring' bc he's running rich between shifts, not sure though.
I'm still telling you something else is going on there. These cars fuel cut for a reason (assuming it's not cold) and a FCD just prevents that. Seems like a quick way to BOOM!
Depends on what you're using to tune. I have the SplitSecond AFC which has a built-in voltage clamp so I do not need one. Dubby there has an AFC and is hitting fuel cut so something is wrong - be it maxxing out his MAF because something is wrong with it (has happened to me) or he's maxxing out his injectors (12 psi on stock injectors). Who knows - is the FCD just a voltage clamp anyway? The FCD is a good thing if you tune with you appropiately. Many do with great success. I will be using it on my build.
Yeah but I know of other members here running upwards of 16 psi on a relocated MAF and they weren't hitting fuel cut. I'll find out eventually I guess.the afc has a o2 voltage clamp not a maf clamp
tried unsucessfully to fix and locate the clanking noise coming from the bay, though it was belt chatter but i put a conditioner on them and they sound great now but the noise is still there, seems to be coming from the inside of the engine in the area behind the heatshield. any ideas as to what it could be or how to fix it? it isnt really bad, i guess it could be described as a ping sound.
could be the msp heat sheld, they are notorious for making noise. the bolts come loose. replace them all with new ones and see if it goes away.
