What have you done to your MSP today?

i believe they released launch control and no lift shifting for the v2 accessport sometime towards the beginning of this year. cant wait till the clutch is broken in to play around with it. its so hard to stay out of boost. stage 2 is faaarrr different from stock.

but yea, back to the msp....i got my flashlight out of it so i could find the test mode connectors in the STi to reflash it :p

Well, found out that the protege front mount/bracket is different from the probe.. And that the sensors on the probe trans dont plug into the protege harness so Ive gotta steal them from the msp trans and to find out that one of them is broke on the msp trans..

God I cant wait to get rid of this car and get something reliable..

Just wait. Megasquirt has launch control. With my dump pipe open it should be pretty badass.

yeah i need that traction control and to get rid of the fuel cut...it cut at full throttle on me today in second gear which had the same effect as clutch kicking the car

so is megaquirt jsut a DYI full standalone which doesnt cost nearly as much money? does it also throw teh cel and cuase you to fail inspection?

yea basically its a DIY fuel controller (i think it does timing too). so you save a bunch putting it together yourself. its universal so in thoery it will work on any car. you just have to figure it out yourself if no ones documented it.

I just got my ADP, getting some new headlights and foglight bulbs (since my fogs just burnt out), got a new Mazdaspeed key lanyard, and I'm still waiting on putting in my turbo timer. I'm really looking forward to saving some money soon and getting some new tires since the front ones are nearing toast quality. Anyone got any reccomendations for all season tires? I live in kansas and we'll have some good snow and ice soon.

uhh that cant be right. clutch kicking gives you a jump foward, fuel cut is a limiter, something that holds you back.

I didnt do too much today, just took off the whole exhaust, manifold and turbo. Not too big a deal, Its ****** T3/T4 time!! Stock stuff can go to hell!!

Yeah it holds you back for a second then the car lurches forward insanely as you go from no accel to full boost then back in a split moment.

Basically MS can do whatever you want it to. Full fuel, timing and spark. Something I have been working on with an electrical engineer for more than a year now is making it a complete plug and play standalone. Basically i am just the financial backing and the egineer is doing all the work. The good news is it is nearly completed, the bad news is it is still going to be a bit of a piggy back. We got stuck on the Protege's altenator which is controlled by the ECU, so until my friend can figure out a way to control that or find an altenator similar to a miatas that has no outside controller the stock ECU is going to have to stay. Since it is staying, for ease we are going to let the ECU keep control of the idle ait control as well. I have added electronic boost control to the unit and have some interesting maps saved up form another member who ran it hard wired into the car. My friend that is engineering the unit has made several for other cars, both his miatas run it complete standalone, a friends old supercharged BMW, and another friends turboed (mean) civic both run MS built and custom harnessed by my buddy and complete standalones. It will be very exciting once we are done, I am just tired of the wait since we have been workign not to mention talking about it for quite some while, i am sure there are several members who thought I have given up on it. I did have to get the newer board though. So all in all, i'll have a very easy to use, very reliable ems for less than $350. I am writing a huge thread on it once it is up and running and I've got some tuning down.

Sell me one?

I won't be selling them, but will include all the details on how to get one once the time rolls around. It is still a DIY kind of modification, just refined.

LSD went buh bye

LSD Broke at 54000 miles. Only mods I have are 95 awr motor mounts and gutted cats. I would have freaked out if I wouldn't have known what it was immediately. (thank you forums). Not trippin still under extended warranty.

Sadly this time its a knuckle in the axle.. When I let out the clutch in gear, the axle spins at the knuckle but not at the hub..

i bought some more christmas presents for my car today. mazdaspeed oil cap, millenia pcv, sr motorsports cam gears, and a 626 valve cover with the cam angle sensor.
