haha, nice... Ya I love my car, and will probly miss it as I often do after I get rid of cars. But frankly, I have a short attention span, lol. This will probly be my last DD mazda... Last 2 I've had have been full of problems, although also 2 of the most fun cars I've owned/driven.

ordered some 90 degree elbows, a new reducer for the boost gauge, and took off the valve cover until I get a notch cut out to prevent any more vacuum hose decapitations.

Speaking of new wheels, I have a few questions regarding some upcoming wheel/tire purchases.

As I believe I posted a few pages back, I'm looking intently at the 17" MB weapons in Gunmetal finish. I am on stock springs and I am currently running Hankook Ventus 215/45/zr17's on the stock racing harts. What I will most likely do is purchase a set of slightly more aggressive tires for the racing harts to use as winter wheels, and then purchase the MB weapons once spring gets a little closer. My questions are:

Would I have to roll the fenders? (I prefer not to)
Do you think I will have any rubbing issues whatsoever? (If there is a chance please tell me)
Would it be possible to use my current tires on the new wheels if I choose to do so? (They are still around 4's and 5's right now)

Here is one site I found them at:

thanks everybody.

nice, did you get the torque's? I miss my gold set, they looked sharp on black.

Nope, went with ATS DTC Superlights! I could not find them for sale in the US but ATS is a company out of Germany that makes racing wheels.

Here is a pic of what they look like. I think they weight in around 15lbs. a piece.

R&R the cylinder head cover gasket this morning. Noticed a small leak yesterday and figured with 78.2K it was time before it really leaked. Timing belt looked good for now.

Ordered new wheels and tires, Enkei RPF-1's Black, 17 X 8 with Yokohama Advans AD 048 235/45/17. Also new brake Pads, Carbotech XP-10's front & XP-8's for the rear.

Too bad I have to wait until Spring before they all go on the car for our NASA TT @ Mid-Ohio.

Thanks, guys. I really only have one running theme when it comes to my cars .. tint and darkness, LOL. I think I missed my calling as a hardcore goth chick.

rush - u got 350z wheels? Nice pic.
Yep! Those are my winter setup -- plan on getting the stock Rays powdercoated by springtime. :)

So I'm browsing for a new air filter to put on my Injen CAI. I found an AEM filter on crossover auto that is $45 and they claim it fits the Injen as well as the AEM. Anybody know of another place that sells them cheaper, or have a new filter they are willing to sell for less?

I have an air filter that's been sitting in my basement since my MSP was totaled, that I meant to install on the car in the spring. It's not AEM, but it's a good filter. Measure the diameter of your intake piping (I can't remember if the MAM SRI and Injen CAI were the same) .. and we can see if mine will fit, and if it does, I'll sell it to you for cheap! :)
