What have you done to your MSP today?

hahahaha... yeah that's right..... what other plans you have for your ride... those Tein's S are looking hot in your ride..

not that much while i cant drive, i need to save money up cause i need to pay my fines off before i can drive again. I was hoping to try to pick up a turbolife FMIC from someone that is selling it but thats not going to happen.

finally got custom cat-back w/ HKS carbon-ti muffler out of the garage and on to the car

FINALLY got my car back today... LOVE the ACT clutch... nice and stiff, but perfectly drivable, and apparently my throwout bearing was on its way out, so I'm glad I replaced it all.

Im sorta regretting the 95 duro AWR rear mount though. sends a LOT of vibration back, especially on startup... I'm sure I'll get used to it, and seeing as the factory mount was TOTALLY torn, it needed to be done.

this may sounds like a stupid question, but right now I've got the stock mount up front still, with a crappy epoxy fill job I did on it a month or 2 ago (quite possibly could have fallen out by now to be honest). Would getting a stiffer front mount make the vibrations better or worse? Common logic says that a stiffer front would make it worse, but I'm thinking the fact that the front has a lot of freedom and the rear has next to none might be making it worse. Just to note, I have inserts in the pass side mount also, factory trans mount.

opinions?

the rear will get worn in after a few days/weeks and the vibes will calm down a bit
but the front mount will probably just make more vibes to be honest

well, thats good to know at least... we'll see how much they calm down... I think I might try to fill my front (well this time) with a soft epoxy, either that or get a low duro AWR... I think I would try to replace the rear inserts... if they weren't such a b**** to get to.. ugh. Paid the shop 67 bucks to put it in, and I think its probably the best money spent of the $2000 repair bill. lol

edit: thanks btw!

yea im not an audio guy but i think 2 10's is a little much considering they only meant for it to be a single 8"

It's fine. It's a 250w amp.

I installed car stereos at a shop for about 4 yrs, back in the day, and I'm sure it will be fine. Really just need to replace the stock RCA's and power wire. The power wire will be easy because my battery is relocated to the trunk. :) So, I'll only need like 1 foot. ;)

i picked up this for the msp today

a little late but nice bro! youll love the gt28, its a great turbo

what I did, well, yesterday:
FINALLY got my car to boost on the t3/t4!!! after 10 months of downtime and not being able to boost for various random reasons I am FINALLY able to boost again

...granted it still boost cuts a lot lol, but damn it feels good, just gotta get it tuned after microtech gets me my unit back

That aint your normal gt28rs =) its a mpi nick upgraded gt28rs. O and speaking of the turbo after i took that pic i spent 2 hrs cleaning the ceramic coated exhaust housing and cleaned the compressor housing

nice!

yea I had the medium trim and that was a huge gain over the stock turbo
youll love it

totally agree with you neox, once he uses that Bad boy, he'll fall in love with it, even more that he'll be able to boost higher with his built motor...

its just a generic Garrett T3/T4, and not a huge trim

but the reason I switched was after riding in a buddy of mine's setup (orng1 on here)...hes running a .61 trim if I recall right and holy crap that thing pulls (especially for the stock tune at 8psi), and needless to say I will be switching to that trim soon (just gotta replace the compressor housing and wheel)

also after seeing the dyno numbers from a similar t3/t4 setup in NSN Motorsports car and also after hearing great reviews from my sponsor's (empire tuning) turbo p5 with a similar setup I set my mind on it

compared with the gt28 I had this thing pulls GREAT, I really can't wait to get it all tuned though because its quite difficult to drive around with how much it fuel cuts at the moment...
