What have you done to your MSP today?

Dropped it off at my mechs house to take to work. SO he can figure out what this new found loud noise is... (hopefully its an exhuast leak).

I also received my testpipe/catless midpipe/race pipe or whatever else you want to call it in the mail.

Edit: Also the rear bumper is getting resprayed at my mechs job.

ordered NGK wires and sparkplugs yesterday. jus waiting for them in the mail now!

i finished the payment on my SteedSpeed Turbo Mani,

got a question for you kids, you can have hood dampers on a carbon fiber hood without it hood messing up correct?

Folks have had success with it, but you're better off getting the lighter version, since the CF hood weighs less, don't want the hood props to ram their way to max extension.

Got a couple calls about the MSP today (since it's for sale)

In other news, I glazed brand new Hawk HPS pads at Summit Point yesterday. They look like they're down to 15-20% now. I think I'm going to go with a track specific pad from now on and throw them on the night before an event. (note the glowing front rotor)

Hey Sander quick question.. any particular reason you went with that clutch you have ordered ? Clutch Masters Stage 4 FX400 4 Puck Clutch Kits ? any info or specs of these Clutch Kit?

Well, its a really strong clutch with the 4puck. It is designed to have a light and quick release, good for the drag strip.

FX400 (Stage IV)
Ultra heavy-duty street &racing system
Holding capacity 170% over stock
Heavy-Duty reinforced pressure plate
Hi-Leverage pressure ring design
Sprung hub/4-button
Ceramic friction material

You can opt for the 6-puck which is less aggresive, the 4-puck will chatter in 1st gear and reverse but I plan on putting it to the test by banging gears at the track.

NRG has them. You would need to call them directly and ask for the ones that are specifically for CF hoods.

cool thanks, ill write that down so i wont forget, cause this kid at this one meet keeps telling me you cant put dampers on CF Hoods, but i saw it done b4 so i rly dont know, i also need one for my trunk to atleast pop it open and keep it up, know anything about that?

Is your trunk made of CF too? I don't know anything about dampers for those. Use a piece of 4x4 wood? You can always paint it.... lol Sorry.

LOL yeah but i want it to atleast POP up a CM so i can open it more, which it doesnt do that, so i just need atleast 1 damper that can atleast do that much

The six puck reminds me of my clutch. Custom Exedy 6 puck ceramic with a rewound pressure plate. Damn thing, I just need to barely rest my foot on the petal to engage it. It's tricky and still gets me from time to time.

I had a 6 puck on for all of about a month and was soooo happy when I got it changed out for the ACT street performance, heavy plate one. I couldn't even pull up to my son's school without the car almost shaking to pieces. lol I do NOT like the daily drivablility of it. Track yes... dropping off son in front of the school and trying to pull out at almost 6k rpm's just to leave it.... NOT cool.
