What have you done to your MSP today?

Seems simple enough to change a seal....I wouldn't waste money on a used turbo though. Just go back to na til I could buy a new one.
Maybe if anyone has a na 4-2-1 header they wanna sell.

It isn't necessarily the turbo causing it to burn oil, pull the hot pipe and see if it's dry. The BB Garret turbos have to be sent out to be rebuilt or the entire CHRA can be replaced. A member rebuilt his but hasn't posted in a while, it is possible to order the seals and rebuild the BB yourself but I would at a minimum have it balanced before installing it.

It puffs out a good.amount of.smoke if your boosting for a bit at higher rpm pulls. smells of hot oil. Its an old engineo but compression was good and never smoke when na.

Ill check hotpipe this wknd. Got some new couplers I need to install. Kinda sucks that the hotpipe points down now.

Puffs smoke out the back at high rpm boost and you smell it in the cabin

Was kinda funny on weekend. Did a bit of an aggressive taje off abd dumped a big blue cloud behind lol... its really random. Just cruising around no boost everything is as you would expect.

Help! I'm looking for a thread to help with my fuel tank problem.
I can not fill my tank. The pump shuts off and gas dumps on the ground from a plastic valve.

Found some threads. Looks like I need to clean all my hoses out

That is strange, I had issues with the pump stopping itself and it turned out to be a torn vac line under the hood for the charcoal canister.

So this started happening on day 2 after axle and hub install. A weird squealing/spooling noise started happening between stop and about 5mph. Got a chance to look at it today and found the axle is making noise on the hub seal. My driver side also has a hub seal without any problems. http://youtu.be/VpO64IdkeyA

So what to do.. Lube it? Leave it alone and hope it stops making noise? Remove seal altogether?

Your video is private so it can't be viewed. If it's already making noise it's likely a defective part, I know you have had CV issues in the past

my bad. i just took it off of private. besides it binding and making noise at low speed, the car is working great now. i dont think this is that serious of an issue. it's quite silly though.

Binding and noise are a serious issue man! Sounds like the seal is rubbing, which will likely make it fail prematurely. Is the seal new as well?
