What have you done to your MSP today?

no, it's right in the middle of the damn threaded section. It should be able to be fixed...I hope....ugh...**** that stupid washer....

You know what else is fun....

Pulling the starter out to have it tested because you think it's shorting out the electrics when in fact it was the highly corroded batery terminal wires that were causing the car to not start lol

really hope the msp isnt going to be a money pit for me!

Keep it stock, fluids high and don't drive it hard and it should be fine.

+1 most people blame the msp being unreliable due to the design but its in fact unreliable when you make it do thing its not designed for... such as high boost applications. Majority of my issues are from me beating on it and parts breaking from putting down more power then stock componded by beating on it.

well before i start it even the first time she will have 1 brand new 91k Miles 626 motor long tube intake mani off the std emissions, new lca's, bushing, fairly new tokico illuminias springs brand new half shafts/ cvs / intermediates and new ish turbo, turbo timer, and SSAFCV2 w/ dataloggin and a wideband and manual boost controller hope she will last!

I used a stack of shop rags and pinched the s*** out of the strut shaft with vice grips. That was the only way I could do it. You definetly don't want to mess up the finish on the shaft as it will destroy the seals.

i had a brand new kyb gr2 that i went to put in a my old s13 240 it got threaded funky with just a ratchet before i even impacted it pulled it out nothing i could do called advance auto where i picked it up from told them took it in they said if you can get your spring off by any means they would warranty it so i got to get a cutting torch was rather fun and dangerous at the same time spring shot across the room even tho it was just under hand ratchet pressure lol just take pictures of it and talk to the place of purchase before hand most if its new will cover it under the warranty

Ok, got the front endlinks on, and jacked up each hub on the fronts and tightened town down the strut bolt. Then I disassembled the driver rear strut and spring and put it back together correctly. The trick is using a spring compressor on each side of the spring and tighten the compressor on each side a little at a time by hand. Got it right enough to tighten the strut bolt all the way down, then loosen the compressors a little at a time to make sure the spring stays in place.

Got that one done at least. Now as long as I can get the other strut rethreaded I'll be done.

Also installed the technafit ss brake lines and flushed the entire brake system with new backbone valvoline synthetic fluid. The pedal is crazy firm now with these SS lines and fresh fluid. If you don't have any get them now. Contact CR3 Motorsports for the hook up.

first wash of the year.
