What have you done to your MSP today?

That's a wiseco piston, 20 overbore. I was running around 20psi when this happened. I'm tempted to do something stupid and just replace the piston.. I definitely don't want to rebuild the engine completely right now.

Was there any scoring on the cylinder walls? I'd imagine so but maybe you got lucky and you might be able to get away with it, I wouldn't recommend it but it's better than scraping the whole thing at this point.

did they all die due to different problems? or was it the same thing all 3 times(LSD?)?

1st one was bad synco sdue to high mileage, bad slave/master clyinders and abuse, 2nd diff and cheap syncros went, 3rd sheared off all the teeth in 3rd gear which in returned botched other stuff up in the process.

Visually it seems to all be good, of course ill have to check more precisely but yeah... I think I'm gonna try it. If it doesn't work then too bad.

Where did the two pieces go? Were they still in there when you took the head off? If not, I'd recommend checking the valves and valve seals on that cylinder closely as well. Not trying to beat you over the head with it, but I build turbos for a living and I'm willing to bet some of those pieces made it through to the turbo and damages the turbine.

From the photo it looks like a clean break. You can see the two pieces but I see what you're saying.

Finally got everything together and started the car up tonight, engine bay caught fire... But it was a minor problem, had a gas line that wasn't tightened down. Fixed it then started it up again and no fire this time! But it's not idling right, it jumps around then goes up to 3k rmp's and stays there then jumps around again. Anybody have any idea what it could be?

Are you sure everything is plugged back in properly?

Funny you say that... Looked over everything last night and found this wire not plugged in, it comes out of the wire harness with the wires for the alternator, I looked all over and can't find out where it goes. It's a green wire with a red stripe on it

It looks like it was for the oil pressure light. It also looks like you've removed the oil pressure switch and installed an oil pressure gauge?

Took a pic of mine so you can see where it goes. Of course if you removed it then yeah, wont be needing it.

Who knows what size the rear sway bar is for the MSP saying its the stock swaybar and has anyone tried lock collars.... mine is sliding from side to side causing the back end to want to swing out under hard turns... the little lock collar things on the inside of the rear swaybar move around. i can tap them back into place but that only holds for a day or two..

The locking collars I have are 2 piece clamshell found at Ace Hardware... took 2min to put on cost like $1

Thought more like 17mm the progress was 20mm I thought

I'm pretty sure they claim 20mm and the progress is 22. I think the progress doesn't work with the msp subframe though.
