What have you done to your MSP today?

lol I thought that was the whole point of it.

lol no the reason they made the oil pump is because they were loosing oil psi on extended track runs. So they made the tolerances on the stock pump tighter and deleted the stock internal ball and spring prv and went to a external adjustable prv. That way they could set the oil pressure to whatever they wanted. To fix the oil starvation issues in the fs motor you need to mod the oil pan. iirc they modded the stock pan and added a spring loaded trap door setup to help combat starvation.

Will be picking up more parts tomorrow, and my new intercooler this weekend if everything goes as planned.

she will be back in no time. Have to get her going before the car meet season. And after driving one I fixed the other day at 9 psi....made me really miss mine. Oh well only a matter of time. Gonna have to update my build thread with all the new parts here soon.

I toiled with the idea of keeping the MSP but have decided it's time for something new.

throttle body coolant bypass completed along with an AC delete. Now I just need to get the shorter belt and install it. Then, to finish putting everything back together, check for leaks and hopefully start tuning

I found out what the problem was on my other protege.. the timing belt tensioner spring broke which is what was making a rattling noise constantly and then eventually I guess the timing belt got a bit loose and was off by one tooth which made it idle like crap. Total cost of repair... about 7 bucks for a new spring.

My wife got super pissed cause she really thought she was getting a new car this time!

Get to do a mam fmic install and gut the interior on haze20's msp in about 2 hours. This thing is going to be beast. His car dyno's 190whp @ 10psi with just a vibrant exhaust and a k&n drop in filter. Can't wait to see what it does with a fmic.
