What have you done to your MSP today?

Did you solder you ssafc connections? As the factory Mazda alarm is all the wiring to the little black box intact ( mine quit on me and the wires to that box found their way out )? Check you battery terminals. Kinda shooting in the dark hope this helps good luck.

I don't think that would cause the car to die like it did. The car showed no signs of a bad thermostat. Temps were all normal when it happened. Temp gauge didn't rise until after the car died

About six months back the same happened to me. Check the fuses. I bet they are blown. I had a sensor cable touching metal causing a short circuit.

Well I'm just pissing in the wind here, but sounds to me like the thermostat got stuck open / closed and the ECU went into lockdown. Easiest thing would be to check the SSAFC connections first like brewer said.

I haven't been able get a "tune" on the car I liked with the SSAFC at 10psi, though I was close a couple of times, but didn't save the MAP before altering it... So, I dialed the boost down to 9, tweaked around a bit, and think I have MAP that's great for 9psi, and makes the car feel much more powerful in mid-range. I still can't get the top end AFRs where I want them, but at the same time, that's the area I'm afraid of leaning out too much, so it's probably going to stay with this "tune" until it actually get's dyno-tuned this summer.

Finally have my early spring madness completed. In the last 3 days I have installed my AWR deep sump oil pan, 626 intake, thunder mani v2, Mishimoto IC, Mishimoto dual slim fan shroud, and all the plumbing. Holy crap what a difference and all on stock internals and stock tune. Runs great with the exception of hitting a random fuel cut every great once and a while. I just need to trim the front bumper a little bit more to fit the FMIC piping.

it tries to crank but it doesn't start. and for some reason, even after letting the car cool down, if I put the key in and turn it to the ACC position, the temp gauge immediately jumps up to the "H".

is it turning over or does it just start all the electrical stuff? Check all fuses first. I had a main fuse blow and the temp gauge did the same thing. My main fuse blew because wires from the harness melted from the egr and cause a short.

it turns over, the car just won't start. Im going to check the fuses and stuff here in a little bit

found the culprit. My primary o2 connector melted because it started slightly rubbing against the MAM manifold since the damn o2 bung is on the side. A little bit of metal is exposed which probably shorted it out. Also found a blown fuse which according to the diagram on the manual is for the ECU. So, looks like Im about to buy a new o2 sensor and a fuse. Bad thing is the sensor connector is melted to the connector for the rest of the harness.

Has anyone tried an S13 2.75" GT25 downpipe for a custom setup?
