What have you done to your MSP today?

at least if you had to go leave your name and number on the windsheild. on a side note i think im gonna go buy a engine stand today after work and start tearing down my spare bottom end so i can get it ready for machine work. Also so i can use that crank to get the rotating assembly balanced with the new forged goodies. =)

you know i was thinking about doing the same thing wiht my spare head since id get 200 dollars off intergral cams. but i dont know i might just get the machine work done local because it would be cheaper and i proabbly could get them to reassemble it as well with all my new s***. where as kens shop dosent reassemble the head.

ill have to ask ken about that, cause i dont see why they couldnt assemble it, i mean if they are machinging for oversized valves, one would think theyd have to test fit them at least.

I can reassemble im just worried about shimming whatever needs to be shimmed since the cams would change. Im big on making the engine more efficient rather than upping the boost, plus ill have to change my timing belt relatively soon, so mine as well change the head (am i a tuner or what!).

yea thats my big thing is the shims. im not comfortable doing that my self to be honest. ive talked to ken about the head before tho. that price does not cover reassembly what so ever.

ohh i get it. for extra they will reassemble it. hmm. boo. might be worth it though ahaha. im not a fan of having to open the engine every month cause somethings not right. i bet u can get a good deal locally if u have a reputable shop, thats the big thing.

yep id be cheaper to get it done locally and you wouldnt have pay for shipping. because when you buy kens head you have to pay for shipping to ken and back lol.

i live in the middle of nowhere so my options are limited. plus if i have ken and his shop do it i have someone to blame

im got the k1's for cheaper then sam sells them =). and as far as pistons its a toss up between wiseco and cp. tryin to decide if i want to stay stock compression or go lower.

whats ur goals, if u stay stock compression dont expect to see much over 300whp without detonating like crazy.

hmmm i wouldnt think i would need 8.5's to go much over 300 being as i wont have to run that much boost, but like i said im still deciding what i want to go with.

I'll go with CP, i've heard bad things about Wiseco, anyways i think Aries 8.5:1 are better, but just my opinion

i looked into the Wiseco's and only saw that they have the stock comp. but going custom is an option, if anything happens the CP's i have now i'm switching to custom Wiseco's
