What have you done to your MSP today?

I almost got one of those. Bovs pretty simple so not sure why they cost so much. Just take care of the diaphram. Treat it nice cause you prob cant get another one.

Not sure why the ebay pipes are so grudgingly talked about. Aluminum pipe is aluminum pipe.
buy a name brane replacement diaphram and call it a day...?

well i have a real ssqv, but after how i modded it to not suck on the msp, it might as well have been a fake ha. though im sure how i have mine on there would make most people cry.. lol.

Noticed today that my exhaust is melting my rear lip since installation of the new downpipe and manifold. Lovely. Anybody have some tips? I'm not sure if I should try bending the hangars. My rear bumper does have a good bit of sag to it.. any fix for that?

installed a custom ebay fmic. turned out wayy better than i thought and sounds awesome!

Need a new tire. Is it ok to replace just one tire, or should I replace both rears? Right rear caliper is leaking as well, might need a new one. How much do they run usually?

Installed my AWR pass motor mount... Lets just say im glad I dont drive across country in this car! Needless to say the other three mounts are more then likely shot as well.

Trying to get motivated to inspect rear brakes. There is a light squeel when pedal applied. Strange wear on them both but on pass side hawk goop is black and driver side still red. Hope i didnt fux0r it up. Everything works though i really had to crank down the ebrake adjuster with te new rotors/pads.

Also gonna see if that o2 bung exists on the stock jpipe later. Been working on my rc touring car mostly.

I just put some heat tape and cut it out so that it fits perfectly in that little flat area under the bumper where the exhaust is, it's hard to explain, but really there is only one area you could effectively put it... hmm actually I found a pic of it from when I was doing my vibrant install(this is a pic before I put the last hanger on, originally it was right up against my bumper, but eventually the hangers loosened up a cm or 2 so it's not pressed up against the tape), it works great for the 03 bumper on my car, my brother's 03.5 msp lip was already cut out a little bit for the exhaust when we bought it, even though I had tried to put some heat tape on the back side of his, but it just didn't stay because I didn't really bother cleaning it really well, and he doesn't really have any issues with melting, but it's worth a shot to try to figure something in there to that effect, other than cutting out the lip a little bit, which actually you don't notice much.. just make sure you clean the crap out of the area with rubbing alcohol before you put any tape on or it just won't last at all

Hmm that's a pretty good idea. It's already melting away so it really wouldn't make much of a difference to cut it a bit.

it's ok. but it's best to do 2 if you have lower tread. i.e-3-5/32nds i'd replace both.

rear caliper is probably 60-120.00 for part depending on where you get it. for those, i would do both.

Installed my medieval lightweight crank pulley today, it only weighs 2 lbs 1.7 oz! I tried to weigh the stock one but of the scales I have one is too small and the other is for people and therefore the pulley is too light to read but it's at least ~8 lbs if I had to guess. And I took pics of my clutch line to send to corksport. I installed a braided clutch line and it started leaking like crazy from both ends of the line about two weeks after I installed it.

why didn't you weigh yourself then weigh yourself with the pulley?

O.E.M. damper weighs 5.1lbs. - from sam

Well guy's i have to say i have a greater appreciation for the msp after driving a fully bolted ms6 w/ an ap stage 2 map and a ms3 with minor mods. I never thought id be able to feel such a difference in a drive by wire throttle. The ms6 was more refined and luxury which i really liked but then when i stomped it i could really feel the weight. Where as with the ms3 it felt more like the protege as far as driving. I have to say after driving them back to back and then getting back in my protege from a performance standpoint my msp felt like it stacked up pretty good against both of them.

Well... you do kinda have a hardass MSP. Try driving a stock one for a bit. lol

lol this is true. its funny i was at the meet and after i came back from driving the ms6 a guy was like " so did it feel faster then your car? " i told them honestly no lol. Then they all asked how much boost i was running after i took one guy out for a ride i was like 8 psi and he was like wow only 8 psi?

See? Hardass.

EDIT: Maybe MSPs feel fast? Lol... I've taken people for rides who've asked "How much power does this have? Low 200's?"

Nope. 145 at the wheels. Lol.
