What have you done to your MSP today?

You will have to get an in/lb wrench and just multiply by 12. Thats what I had to do when I was installing the head on my jeep. The studs were ft/lb and the rocker arms were in/lb.

+1... My dad has both; a ft/lb and in/lb, and we use them both. With stiff suspensions and hard mounts stuff vibrates loose. Better safe than sorry.

my car didn't come with one so i never knew it was missing

i had mine till i had my windshield replaced they fell out like a week later

oo that reminds me, I have to call progressive and put in a claim for my windshield, it had a crack/chip last summer but just didn't report it, but now it's just bugging me, and after talking to some people in the NEPOC section they said since I have full glass coverage and the chip is all the way through the windshield, that I should try to get it replaced if I can..

and hopefully today or tomorrow I will finally install the Greddy TT.. hopefully it doesn't cause to many problems, I'm gonna wire it up to a manual switch so I can turn it off completely if I like, since I don't like parking in neutral much, but will come in handy after longer drives, or after doing tuning runs

I just push the power button when I get out if I don't want to leave it running.

Im in the same boat with my windshield. Too cheap to pay the $200 deductable though.

heh... luckily I don't have a duductable for glass as far as I know.. unless there is something I missed, it should be 500 deduct for regular collision and full glass coverage with free replacement I'll have to call to double check, but I think that is how it's set up..

and ya for the TT, I just like the idea of having the switch button, especially since I have another one connected to the radar detector I have hardwired, just makes things clean and easy access.

I have a huge crack in my windshield. Just switched ins. co's and now have a $100 glass deductible so I will be getting it fixed this summer. :D

I'm stoked, cause it's been cracked for 2 years, lol. (rockon)

windshield

i had just replaced mine and it cost me 150 without putting in a claim. not sure if the company is nation wide but they are called simbol auto glass. they came to my house and did it in less then 30 min. i would imagine if you call around and let them know you are paying and not the ins co they are all likely to give a cheaper price

well, just called progressive, full glass is free for me, so I'm getting it replaced next thurs. I asked to make sure it was "OEM" and they said with the year there is no OEM coverage but they replace it with the OEM spec glass just made from a diff. company but all is the same supposedly, so should be all set, it's good too because there are some other small scuffs from small rocks on the glass too that bug me lol.. and just got the small package of copper break grease, will prob. do that tonight or tomorrow most likely, shouldn't have to bleed the breaks again though right? just make sure the piston is pushed back when I put the pads back in and all that?

Looks like I'm putting in a claim then! LOL

you don't even need to take the pads out of the holder. Just pull the caliper off, smear the grease on, put the caliper back. so no, no bleeding necessary.

lol nice, I know that when I was first setting up my plan that in FL they don't even give you full glass coverage, but I guess since in CT and other states with the construction and winter and stuff like that, they have it.. I dono, that's what the guy said, but I'm glad I have it, will be nice to get a new one, I told them it happened 2 weeks ago, but really I have been waiting on it since late last summer, but wasn't sure if I should put a claim on it since it was a chip and not crack

a chip they can infuse with resin which is super easy... cracks over X lenth require replacement. mine turned into an 8" crack instantly.

ya I just went outside to check and realized that it was just my paranoia that made me think it was worse than it is, but it's really just a surface chip with a larger 3-4mm I think (or 1/4") crack below it, so ya I just called them back and switched it over to a repair for sat. easier than going through any problems I might have with a new windshield, and if it switches to a bigger crack (they used the length of a dollar bill) than I can just replace it then lol

i thought progressive was pretty good about that. i have state farm and they wanted me to pay a deductable which was a little more then the cost of me paying on my own. the funny thing is (i have an 03.5 MSP) my original did not have the blue sun strip part at the top but the one they put in did. not sure if one is oem or not but i like the new one much better
