shootz? I've got one I'd sell. only problems are its a P5 floor bar (orange), custom end brackets, and blue lateral links, and an orange strut brace.

I knew the great performance by the MSP was a harbinger of doom! Twice today while making a short trip the car shut off, dont know why. I was driving , the first time i was coming to a light, pushed in clutch, put on brakes, shifted intor fist for when i took off again and as i was coasting to light the car shut off, all the lights popped up that you see when you conk out but i know i had the clutch pushed in before coming to a stop and it did not bog down it just shut off. Second time slowing down to turn into parking lot, same circumstances, same thing happens. has this ever happened to anyone else? If so what was the cause? Is it mechanical? Electrical? is my clutch going out? It starts right back up and runs fine after. I have no warning lights on the dash no cel nothing. any help is appreciated

Sounds electrical.

alternator would be my guess, had that happen to me in my old truck. possibly battery

wouldn't restart if it was either of those. either the alt wouldn't be juicing up the battery and it'd die, or the bat woudln't be storing it and it would have nothing to restart the car.

You do have a point however in that when I tried driving to work with the battery disconnected (terminal corroded off) the car would start and idle, but if I added gas, it died.

don't really need it but it looked like a good deal but apearently taking $8 off to make it a nice even # was an insult to him. oh well i still have my money and he's still got the trucnk cage he doesn't want

Due to it being hacked together, mine would be cheaper... I didn't really pay much for it considering its GTSpec stuff. Throwing it out there if you're interested, if not, no biggie.

It will still bolt straight up, because you've already modified it, correct?

yeah, I made a pair of custom brackets for where the bars bolt in near the taillights. Only change I'd have to make is to bore the holes out a bit because they were a VERY tight fit and I think when I tightened em down I bent the brackets a bit. I've got some pics uploaded in my facebook if you're interested. I did no modification to the actual GTSpec parts.

kinda noobish question, but whats the best/safest way to gap spark plugs? hit gently with a hammer? press against something?

I lightly tap against a cement garage floor a little at a time until its gapped properly
