What have you done to your MS3 today?

Yeah, I had to bring all my tools with me. Man needs to get some tools. I have a socket wrench set, that's about 80%+ what you need to work on these cars. Unless you're doing electronics.

I used this one instead. It works on both Sport and GT. I have installed on both models. Same wires and everything.

How can that work on the GT? The GT has OEM HIDs and that walk-through does not work with OEM HIDs.

I used a walk-through very similar to this. No problems on my MS3 GT with OEM HIDs. I've had the modification done for over two years now.

that thread was the reason why i DIDNT do my gt. I read the whole thing and saw the gts had issues with it

and you actually helped me out with mine when i did them over the winter

I have read through the thread just to be sure confirm I am not making a fool of my self. lol
All of this information is purely to to let you know that this mod is safe.
It was copy and pasted from one mazda3 forum to this one. But someone else had already done it years prior.
Here is the original How-To that someone did back in the day. It states "These instructions work with all North American models (US/Canada/Mexico) with both halogen and HID headlight systems."
How-To:http://www.protegefaq.net/BKfogmod/

There is also a member that has a GT and he performed this mod with no issues.
if u follow the walk through it would work perfect. i have a speed 3 GT and the mod works just fine. and u can turn your fogs of and on when ever you like. i have 3k hids and im lovin them
the wiring is the same on both gt and spot. the only difference is that the gt has hids in place of the regular bulbs.
i looked at all the wires befor i started and all the colors were in the right place. so i gave it a try and they work perfect. i wired mine to the ACC so i can turn them on when ever i have the key on. =]]
And HmG_mS3 has also performed it on his GT and this is what he said.
It works on the GT models also... so whoever is wondering
if it works or not on the gt model well im telling you now that it does...!!!just follow all these steps and you shouldn't have a problem..!! THANKS....
So all in all, for you own clarification, and it's something I still do when someone asks me to do their car. Check the wires.
Hope this help clarify any issues. Good day all! :)

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the clarification. I guess the initial post in that thread needs to state that you can use it with the GT, as it states otherwise.

lara, i am trying it on my GT this weekend, I will post my results on how well it works.

BTW, I pm'ed you a photoshop request earlier today, hope it's not asking too much. :/

Tightened up the rear shocks on the speed tonight. Took... about 45 minutes to an hour. What a pain in the dick. Thanks, Koni.

yeah the thread states that you can't do it but then like i said it will work.. and also how does the oem hid on the gt model have to do anything with the foglights?
is the wires were messing with for that reason?? just a thought of mind..!!!
