i have these in 235/40 for DD. it's a pretty solid all-around tire. you had them before?
I had 235/40 in Eagle GT's. Yes, they are great all-purpose tires. I just felt I needed to go back to OEM size, due to some shredding on the tread blocks. I know that you can roll the fenders, but I didn't want to do that. IDK, call me crazy.

Soooo...

I got 0, zip, zero, nada, calls on my newspaper ad today. Ya know what I think contributed quite a bit to this?

This is the ad I paid for. The paper actually sends you a confirmation email with a picture of what your ad's going to look like printed.

This is an actual picture of the newspaper of my ad printed.

Right across from my ad? Big giant advertisement:
2011 Mazda3, 5,320 miles, $21,000

So people are thinking why the heck would I buy this dingleberries 2009 Mazda3 with 21k for $20,000 when I can get a 2011 with 5k for 1 grand more?

Needless to say the paper WILL be reprinting my ad for free this next week. You know how much that useless ad cost me? $25!

did all the maintenance i wanted to do today....to include changing oil, cleaning air filter, and seafoam induction

for the oil change i had to replace the housing that holds the filter...due to this:

you may notice the cracks occuring around the base of the threading. this, to me, seemed like eventually it was going to break off. well, i can't just get that drain plug from mazda, i have to get the entire filter housing:

total s*** from a bull

also did the mscai filter as per directions provided with the cleaning solution. this is the second time ive done it. still wish i could grab a k&n for it, but that's a one time probably $60 compaired to $15 every 20k miles or so.

so i did the seafoam too. wasn't as impressive as i was hoping. the car has over 50k miles, and i believe the last time i did the induction cleaning was about 20k ago. i poured what i thought was half the can in the gas tank first, then used the rest through the brake booster vacuum line. let it sit for somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes, came back and did this:

and that was that. once again i have a smooth idle.

but seriously it's stock. the only actual mods i have on my car is the mscai and hypertech tune. i really wish i could have more but [insert list of excuses here]

cleaned the good ol' EGR valve and Seafoam after...smooookey. But now, no more CEL and feels smoother! :)

It's because you're asking too much.

This is also a different market. Used cars are selling for exorbitant prices now. I paid $19,000 for my 2008.5 MS3 with 3,500 miles. Now at 21,000 miles I can get in the neighborhood of $20,000-21,500 (the highest being a 2009 with 23k miles for $23,995) according to KBB and the prices of similarly equipped used cars in my area.

I bought mine for $16,900 with 37K. I just think $20,000 is a bit too strong. $19,000 or $18,750 sounds better.

I paid 15,250 with 35.5K
I can't believe I have a car I could sell for more than I owe

snoopy happy dance
