What have you done to your MS3 today?

coyfish: quick steps on spin on kit install
- dump oil from sump

- at the top of the oil catridge housing, feel for a 15mm nut (loosen until fingers can undo) can completely be removed later

- theres a sensor that needs removing from the catridge housing (green clip) with a wrench, remove the whole piece from the catridge housing (unclip sensor + wire later or before to ease re-install on spin on housing)

- remove 4 x 10mm bolts from catridge housing to engine (have towls/rags around as a bit more oil drops from here) 1 of the bolts is a bit hard to get at but do-able.

- add spin on housing and fit everything up and dont forget to add oil

i took my time and had to go up the road to get a shorter 15mm wrench but it shouldnt take too long to do

i also added a fumoto oil drain valve, required an extension piece to clear sump (from fumoto also) - so now even easier oil changes.

bradboyd80: inlet is fairly easy once you've done it the first time, more room when you disconnect battery and remove it. just take your time like i did, just a pain to work on this car with little room

id call myself a noob and I attempted inlet and got it in, few months ago I fitted up a CS downpipe and PG manifold too all by taking my time

Thanks a bunch. Appreciate it.

BCs FTW... i guess im biased, but for price point/adjustablitly & ease of install.. There pure win for our speed 3s. Im not knocking other stuff, just hyping up what i do know...lol.

springs = no adjustments, same ride quality, stance and look

H&R coils = height adjustment only, good name & well built product though. You have to construct them prior to install too

BC coils = put together right out of the box. adjustable ride height and damper. camber plates up front. seems to be built well from my standpoint, but ive read others with issues

Ill help you put in whatever you get brad, no worries

i do have two BC installs under my belt though. my speed3 and my buddy logans speed6 ;)

Yeah, I'm heavily leaning that route, Steve. Might be making that purchase next month. It'll be either that, or the DP and ETS TMIC.

my BCs have been on for 20k, with no issues. no cutting either, but mine are 1st productions w/ no camber plates up front. thats why mine can go so low ;)s

i had BCs on my MSP and i'm curious how the ride compares with the same setup on the MS3...? the handling was amazing but the ride was quite harsh even on the "softest" setting. how is the ride in general on the MS3?

Ride is good. My girl says it's not too bad and on the first day home she fell asleep in the car and didn't complain about the ride. I have the fronts set at 7 and rears at 15.

Took the MS3 out of retirement today. Miata got hit by a truck in a parking lot @ work. Silly co-workers
