What have you done to your MS3 today?

so today i installed a dog bone motor mount took about 10-15 mins.
i also installed a joey p proz MBC which took a little longer , and rite now i am installing a prosport boost , and also a map clamp so it looks like tonite is a good nite , except for the 4 inches of ice outside lol

good to see at least one more local MS3, I hardly ever see them around here

took off the emblems they are soaking in bleach getting painted tomorrow. Yey!

If you only took them off yesterday, they may not be ready for paint. Mine took 2-3 days and a number of bleach changes to get the chrome off, then you need to remove the rest of the copper/nickel w/peroxide. What ever you do, don't rush the job or you'll have to live with the results for a long time. You may not be ready to paint for a week.

Don't forget to put them in the oven to cure the paint!
that does not sound like a good idea lol.

On a cookie sheet or aluminum foil @ low temperature (175-200) for 10-20 mins they will be OK. They will still be tacky, not to mention hot, so don't touch them in that state.
I've done it several times w/o a problem, just keep a close eye on them.

I'm actually kidding about the oven.
I recommend reading a thread titled "Epic Badge Saga" on the other forum. It's in the Appearance Mods section.

If you want to "cure" the paint plastic parts, I recommend putting them under a desk lamp or workshop lamp.
Just remember that this technique speeds of the drying of the outside layer of the paint. The paint underneath is still soft.
Unfortunately, patience is still the best technique when painting stuff.

Changed my front brake pads and painted the calipers black - it now looks cool but I have no brakes - think I liked the looks plain but have brakes better

(got to bleed the lines still as I got air in them somehow)

Got the amsoil dry flow for my nano in the mail today. I also washed her. Nice day.

Also thank you all for the hints about painting, but I was just way to hasty and after a day of bleach and sanding I went ahead and started painting them. If they come out weird, I guess I can always keep em on and buy new badges and this time take the time to do it the right way.

Changed the oil and checked the torque on my motor mount bolts. I didn't loctite them so wanted to check it. Still as tight as I originally put them.

I did 4, and then just took 220 grit paper and ever so slightly sanded the one coat of black. With being so impatient I think it turned out good hehe.
