What have you done to your MS3 today?

Got my AutoExe black carbon fiber shift knob on. Looks and feels great. Larger than I expected, which is just fine, and it comes with the correct 6-speed decal (I worried about having to swap knobs for valets). The only downside is that it's lighter than stock, but no biggie.

No pics?

Paid a visit to Ken of ProtegeGarage today and had him install my Cobb SRI. He did it in 10 degree weather with no gloves and a smile the whole time. Massive props :)

You had him install it...why? Not not dissing Ken, just seems so easy anyone can do it.

installed my cobb intake! so happy it sucked doing it in 20 something degree weather. first mod but surely not the last (2thumbs)

Cause I don't know jack about engines :P I'd really rather not break something because I don't know what I'm doing. After seeing it, I'm pretty sure I would have been able to figure it out, but I just didn't want to take the chance. I can't afford to break my car.

Gets some paper towels and windex and clean up that engine bay.

I will when the bottle won't freeze on the way walking out to the car. It was 5 outside today, I'll pass :P

Once it warms up I'm going to do a complete detail.

fenrir how weird is the sound at first lol i wasnt expecting the woosh to be like that from 2k-3k and then kinda fade off to a whistle (if not shifting, and if this isnt normal....oh ****)

dont worry its normal, thats what a turbo does, sucks in a bunch of air, compresses it and forces it into the engine.

Holy chit! I shoulda washed mine last weekend (70ish outside), but I were lazy. No way I'd even be outside at 5!!!

Speaking snow. We are having a storm up here, Rochester ny. So iam driving my winter beater 90 Volvo wagon at six million miles, whatever. I am out on my lunch break for donuts. It's rear wheel drive with about maybe 90 hp and goes sideways great { donuts}. But any ways. I am sitting at the stoplight on a major road. First in line to leave. And i see that some one is trying to turn and sliding. Towards me. At enough speed to worry me too. Well the sumbitch clocked me good. no one hurt { Volvo}. his car might be totalled. But my point to this little story is... I have been hit at a stop light, stopped and been hit hard, twice in six months!! now i will use the: WTFF. just to make this relevant, the last time i was hit was in the MazdaSpeed. And kneedraggin241, you got the same storm, he had summer tires too!

so today i installed a dog bone motor mount took about 10-15 mins.
i also installed a joey p proz MBC which took a little longer , and rite now i am installing a prosport boost , and also a map clamp so it looks like tonite is a good nite , except for the 4 inches of ice outside lol

Well I went down to Cobb today and picked up an Accessport, All I can say is that I was very impressed with how much smoother and stronger the car is now.
The AP has 26 parameters that can be monitored live which was very cool. By the way my stock BPV is holding to 16.5 psi which was boarderline impressive.
I put some velcro tabs below my drivers side air vent and its a great spot for the AP if you want a temporary boost gauge.
I also hear from the guys at Cobb that they have all the parts for the BPV and just have to put them together/test and they will be ready for sale. (its gold and brown btw)
P.S. - I saw 2 supra's on the freeway today, those cars are amazing, one guy gave me thumbs up and the other one sped off very quickly haha.
