Tranny Fluid swap.

DSCF5732.jpg

Ok, I just finished the tranny fluid swap and went for a drive. Like what I have read from many others that did this with the MS3, the gear shifts are much smoother now. I have also been told that the synthetic frees up HP and increases gas mileage. I'll learn more tomorrow morning when I go for a drive with the tranny cold. I have been having hard 2nd gear shifts when the temps are very low. I did this in my 1997 Probe GT and cold morning 2nd gear shifts were greatly improved. I was using the penzoil syncromesh in the Probe.

Even if I still have cold morning hard 2nd gear shifts it was still worth doing. It was not any harder than changing the oil, no way I would pay someone to do this.

How much did that set you back? Cause im gonna be needing to do my tranny fluid here soon!

I redid the center vent area in seude again cause it was lookin like ass from the last time i did it. And put up the passenger visor. Nothing crazy.. but still. Think I might do my valve cover and change my spark plugs tonight too. Depends on if I do anything and how cold it is.

Nice filter Cosmic. You know if that will only fit on the Cobb, or can it be put on stock?

Oh, and got the oil changed and engine flushed.

Installed Injen CAI last night, put Silverstar Ultra hi-beams in today. It was going to get a bath on Monday, but it looks like Mother Nature has a different kind of bath in mind.... RTA should be here Tuesday, so I'll get the tunes in order then. After that Senor Wallet needs a break!!

The Redline was $12 a quart, the Fill hose was $5 and I had to buy a 24mm socket $6

Total was $47.

There is a how-to guide on another forum, but I'm not allowed to link to it. I'll send you a link through a PM.

**** The web site is blocking my link even in the PM. *******

Just look for it you will find it.
